Please tell me that's a Miata and you are doing an Exocet build

That's an 04-05 (04 I believe) Mazda Speed Miata. Factory turbo, albeit small, 6 speed trans, upgraded axles and other goodies. Based on the last picture, I'd guess a V8 build (LSX plastic rocker covers and intake tube).

EDIT:

Plot thickens. I see a non-oe turbo and manifold, a downpipe and V-band exhaust. The engine came with a red valve cover from the factory, no telling if it's the original (slightly modified at the factory) BP4W or something custom.

Should be nice when it's done! Looks like it's already seen some track/autox time judging by the 6UL's and the fatty slicks. I hope those aren't Gen1 6UL's tho. ;-)

They had a few colors that you could pay a few extra bucks for, I really wanted Nissan skyline purple but they would not do it. My other side locker should be coming in at any time. I forgot to order the led locker light for the inside.

Inventory Management? that's a stretch. I've been working on the inventory of my tools off and on for several years. I do use Excel.

Some people take video
Some use normal photos
Some use spreadsheets.
Personally I make a list on the computer and then I check it off by hand

Start early before you build your tools to a large amount.

Currently assembling new struts, inserts, control arms, bushings, torsion bars, hubs, wheel studs, strut plates, and hardware for the front of the blue 911....My pawnshop fetish has really come in handy. ....and yes, I did build the wooden portion of my toolbox myself.

It may be just me but it looks like ur top drawer is too deep to close all the way? Is there a reason for this or is my depth perception off q today?

You and me both. It must be the camera's depth perception. It closes and opens fully. All three of them are nice and flush when closed. I'm not that bad with power tools.

The spindles are integrated with the struts?

Pete

Yes, they are pressed on then welded into place. They can be machined off and raised to lower the front roll center, but my car is just a street car so though I've taken hundreds of pounds out of her, I've not gone to that extreme. I'm switching from Boge struts with Bilstein HD inserts, to Bislstein struts with re-valved Bilstein Sport Inserts, and 19mm Tbars to 21mm Tbars. Lot's of other goodies to go with them like this set of hubs has 66mm studs and will get the 12mm hubcentric spacers that are currently on the back of the car.

One cool discovery that I made was when I went to press out the old races. A 1/2" drive 27mm Cornwell deep impact socket was the perfect size. Dropped it in and smacked it a few times with a BFH and it was out of there.

Not pictured is the set of 930 Turbo brakes that are also going on. They are 85% bigger than stock Carrera brakes and period correct....as are 90% of my mods.

Amber lamps: we now need a pic of this 911!!!

While we on the porsche subject i painted the drawers and front cover of a recently acquired mid-box this evening, in porsche slate metallic, the box itself will be porsche racing green to match top and bottom.

I just buy tools and put them in the boxes. Every once in a while I will take some pics so I have something for the insurance company if my shop burns down.

That's a pretty box! Is it crinkle black?
Its actually flat black with gloss black trim and their rinoline like finish on the lid. My mb1080 is crinkle finish and I don't think I'd ever buy one with that finish again, I'm a bit of a clean freak and the crinkle finish is a pain in the *** to keep clean. Come to find out the flat black is hard too, had to buy a cleaner spray made by snapon to get all the greasy finger prints off but it works pretty good.

What box is that, 31" or 27" wide? What paint did you use? Given your user name is it safe to guess painting for you is like a walk in the park?
