I'm bored so here is my screwdriver drawer. I will probably post updated box pictures next week after my latest order arrives.

Here is a peak in the top. Sorry for the crappy cell phone pics. If anyone would like I can take better ones with a regular camera.

It took me 9 years to find a matching top with out the separation bar between the drawers. I guess the KR1100 is the matching top with the flush key because the KR12OO has a dimple around the key.

I have this very same setup. Im about to outgrow it though. In my 50 years of my job life I have gone through many different Snap On boxes. Even an old Waterloo roll around for my first real box followed by a couple C-Man boxes.

If anyone could post a pic a white/light silver with red trim Matco box, I'd really appreciate it! I'm interested in getting one a few years from now

Nice box. Really nice color.

Thanks! Only bad thing, since I work at an outdoor shop. That sun will shine right on it at least till noon and it'll blind everyone around me and everything will have a reflection of green haha.

Dice of death?

Yeah the box has a launching device. He rolls the dice, picks a part, and the box will launch the part into the car. We call it throwing parts at cars because we can't afford those big boxes.....lol

I bought this setup in 2003. Would love to find someone with the 6 drawer side chests in ALL red. Would gladly make a trade.

Fresh from the powdercoat shop

Damn  Mind sharing what the powdercoating set you back? Who did the prep work? I have a full size box or two that I would love to have powdercoated a custom color, but was hesitant of the cost.

Sandblasting was $30, powder was $120, most local shops are so slow and horrible at getting quality work in timely manner, it's actually orange, I'll take one in daylight.

I,v been following this thread for a long time and finally found some time to create an account and start participating to the forum, what motivated me is this community is much more respectful than most forum I'v seen and realized I wasnt the only one obsessed with tools and OCDing on my box.

This was my Husky 41" wich filled up quicker than I expected, I changed it not so long ago for a 72" top & bottom, I will make an entire thread about my current box once I get enough time to take pictures. But for now enjoy my first tool box, when I first bought it I thought it was big, until I begun buying more tools.

Spent the last two weeks reading this entire thread. Generated a lot of ideas for tool storage, some of which I hope to use on the pit cart I'm currently building.

Well thanks for joining. You are completely right.... The people on here are very respectful for the most part. Everynow and then there will be a cocky comment but that's pretty much it. On occasion we do have an ******* that makes their way on and most of the long time Vetrans on here are quick to spot them out. My favorite is when somebody new is on and decides to make fun because we have a 4 page topic going of something like "favorite way to position your screwdrivers in a drawer" and they decide to shoot us down and try to make fun. We pretty much get rid of them quick or ignore them so we can continue talking about screwdrivers!!
Remember this is a garage/tool forum so we talk about anything related of the nature and we probably covered a topic numerous times.
But anyways....WELCOME!

This is my first post although I have lurked for a few months. When I moved from AZ to CO last year the moving company destroyed my Matco box and five Craftsman boxes. After researching this site among others I decided to replace the boxes with Tool Vault boxes from strictlytoolboxes. I am extremely happy with the boxes. They are way better quality than my Craftsman boxes and nearly as nice as my old Matco box. The price vs quality ratio on this box is very good. So I’ve started organizing using magnetic drawer labels and foam. Obviously I am prioritizing organization over space optimization this time. My previous boxes were not very organized and I am tired of searching for and losing tools. I don’t use tools for a living anymore but I should have organized like this 30 years ago. Here’s my wall of Tool Vault.

Thanks 90zcar, some of the threads here are not really my cup of tea, but I respect those who wanna discuss em, if you go to walmart you wont go to every alley. I mean, some people in real life would tell me I'm crazy to look at others toolboxes for hours on forums :p Beside, assholes are everywhere, some places they are more common then others I guess.

Same, love the color, but the botom was like 15" deep and top drawers are like 11" deep. Its just not enough.

I bought the snap on kr1000 bottom about 9 years ago when I first got into heavy equipment. I finally got a kr1200 to put on top last week. Both are road warriors but they are built like tanks. My current diesel shop is littered with new boxes and I still prefer mine. The cheap HF side locker is a great value and has served me well. My current dealer got sick of replacing my spring wheels with the new torsions. I've have her packed to the max.
I love this series. I would much rather have one of these with some patina than a shiny new Epiq.

I like this this tool box because it is not a trailer queen, looks as tools are used, not displayed.
