Just brought this home a few weeks ago, Snap-On Heritage 12-Drawer Double Bank.

Immediately upgraded to the Snap-On Tubular Security Lock, mostly because the Flank Drive key is awesome.

And a few drawers for good measure

Well I finally got a few things loaded into this and immediately realized I need a much much bigger box.

Yes sir, that is the plan.

I second that for the price they are good boxes. Mine was good to me but I out grew it really fast so now I have my SO classic Kra2423 which will hopefully take a while to out grow.

Picked up a new to me cart off CL and a side locker for my HF 44" from the parking lot sale for my birthday. Going to do a little sticker removal on the cart but otherwise it is in great shape.

Moved some things around so that measuring tools would have their own drawer (or mostly their own at least)...

This has firmly reinforced that I do in fact need a bigger box...

Here's my home set up. Most of my tools are in my service truck. Black box was built by my dad he gave it to me when he retired. Roll away I bought when I was a dealer tech it's a blue point. Side cabinet is snap on but is friction slide. Cart is a mac I added the craftsman drawers. Proto cantilever is my motorcycle kit I take when we go riding. Black Stanley top box I bought about 5 years ago as a kit. I used the Stanley bottom box in my old service truck.

tool layout looks really good! did you ever consider removing those allen t handles from their trays to save space? just curious...the tray for the MAC allen t handles takes up what seems like alot of wasted space and thought about taking them out of the tray

Thankfully his two brothers knew better than to come looking. Mom laid it out right after dad passed, these tools were mine, and that was his wish. I grew up knowing these tools were how I was fed, clothed, and supported. So they have a value to me that's immeasurable.

That's how K am with my grandpa. He is trying to get me to take his tools now. I refuse, only barrow when I need carb tools or the like. The family knows the tools are mine. I grew up with him in the garage every weekend.

You might have a talk with Grandpa. It might make him sleep better knowing that his tools are with you. You can always make it VERY clear that they are HIS tools and you are just borrowing them.

I know when I pick who will get my tools... I would feel proud if they took them and honored them while I was still around. I would feel better.... knowing they have their new home.

Chat with him and let him know you are honored to get them but want to make sure he has them if he needs them.

I agree. I used to spend time in my grand-pas work shop working/talking abount projects he did throught out the years (he was a carpenter/superintendant) those are some of my best memories. Take the time to share some great moments talking/working etc with him. Let him tell you stories about certain tools he migjt have, you should see pride that his grand son cares enough to ask. I know you might feel like you would be taking advantage or what not but don't, if he asked you its because deep down inside he knows you deserve them.

I've considered it but I am rather fond of the trays, even when they aren't exactly very space friendly. I am currently not strapped for space so I just kinda let them be for now. I also feel like I'll end up buying another KRL722 (used to own a yellow one) if I outgrow this KRA2312 for "home use" lol
