And some stuff that doesn't fit in the box right now

Time for a bigger box or at least an add on of some sort. When I bought my last box I thought it would be all the room I would ever need. Then I joined the Garage Journal. And the rest is history. Now I have tools everywhere. In my van , garage , bench, under the bench etc. Now I want at least a 72" roller. Lol.

Nice. I haven't seen a Proto toolbox in a long time.

Mike.

I think ruger has one of the nicest boxes on here. He doesn't need a bigger box either. Too many people think they need a triple bank box so they can store all their ****** plastic trays in.

Picked up this box today from my Snap-On guy. Paid $2200 for it with the stainless top and guards on it ,after he took $300 off for the dent in the bottom draw. Or I could have paid full price and him throw in a stainless draw guard to cover it.

It's a KRA2107 in gunmetal grey.

Upgraded from my KRSC326 to a KRA2422. Was a repo box my dealer had just took back from the guy. Picked it up for $2000. Don't think it was a bad deal.

I got top boxes galore. I hate stooping for anything below waist height.

Did you have to trade in your KRSC?

Not even close, LOL. My name's Kurt, and I worked at a place with two Kurts, two Curts, and a Kirk. I got stuck with Big Kurt (I'm 6'6"), shortened to BK, and I like the number 13.

What the vise, the knife, or both

If you spend any time camping or in the wood I'd say the BK7 is :rocker:
I took the black coating off it. They are now part of Kabar and at 3/16" thick.
It will split fire wood among other normal tasks....

FOCUS.FREAK,

Thanks for posting the video... you have a great setup! How is that 72" masterforce box holding up for you? I plan to pick one up in black when they go on sale again.

Cheers,

Brad

It's great! No problems so far. I just wish they had more add ons for this certain toolbox. I'm looking into getting the locker for it. If I buy it the locker will be about 5 inches shorter than the box. Kind of a bummer. But overall the box is a steal of a deal. I got the stainless top and box for I believe 1100.

What's your trade? Friend of mine got the exact same thing without the locker for $8500 & his classic 78. Unless your trade is too valuable sounds like a great deal.

Here is how my current setup looks, getting a Krl722 next week so need to play about when it arrives setting up the drawers. As you can see there's a few drawers a bit busy just now and also I have sockets spread over a few drawers. Can anyone spot the deliberate mistake?

Hi There

Having recently made a some investments in toolboxes, tools and tool organisation which I wanted to share.

I'm a weekend wrencher and was luck enough to get a small Snap On set of wrenches and sockets for my 21st Birthday (over 20 years ago now) and have added to it over time as I needed tools. Some mates and I have recently bought a cheap-arsed race car and are enjoying fixing it up. That, and some spare cash, made me splurge a bit and I'm really happy with the results.

The tool boxes are Sidchrome (a decent quality Australian brand) and purchased from the local Bunnings (think Tool Depot). I used loyalty points from my credit card to get Bunnings vouchers so got about AUD$2000 in tool boxes for free. I would have preferred a slightly different layout with shallower drawers but lack of options a decent price plus the deal; it was hard to pass up!

That let me use the money on more tools and tool storage foam. I have a lot of Snap On and Knipex which both are really well supported by toolbed.com . You just select the brand+part number and they have the shadow outline on their database already. You lay out the foam drawers as you like and they laser cut the tool foam and deliver it. I ****** love it! It makes finding tools easy and makes packing tools away a joy rather than a drag.

Here are some photos and a short video of the drawer with the ratchets and extensions in it. I modified the drawer and built an insert for speeder bars as they take a lot of space.
