I know for sure I have a tool addiction. I look at this thread everyday and I'm disappointed when there are no new pictures. I love seeing other peoples boxes, garages and storage. Keep them coming.

If you need some more pictures, type "organization" into the search box. You'll get a couple of dozen threads filled with great tool ****.

Here's some of the tool boxes, I'm in the process of moving so the drawers are not filled or organized yet.

The drawers all look like this except for a few I use a lot. I'm actually cleaning up, removing rust and consolidating my tools.

WOW!

I cannot believe how many cracking setups you guys have got!

As my job only requires me to work on tail lifts my toolbox is rather measly compared to most if not all of yours (my box is small but effective) :) I must firstly say I am sorry for the **** piccy, I just took a quick snap with my camera phone this morning :bounce:

toolbox136.jpg

I bought the box secondhand as I am an apprentice still and prefer to spend the dough on the hardware :lol_hitti It is a MAC tools top box with the Honda BAR F1 racing logo and union jack decal, the roll cab and side cab are also MAC.

When I get time I will take pictures of my tools  But most are snap on, britool and the odd blue point

Sold most of my older tools and tool boxes, back when I sold my Texaco station in 1989. Now I'm down to these two, in the corner. Don't have any shots of the drawers, mostly Craftsman stuff. Nothing to fancy or worth drooling over anyway.:bounce:

These are enough for me now. They hold most of my stuff, the rest is in the cabinets. New house and garage, so I haven't had time to make a mess out of it yet.

Looking for a new project now.

I got them in a trade deal, for my older stuff. I'm pretty sure he said, that he got them at Costco. They are the Durotek and CSPS brand. Got them just this year.

Sorry, that's all I've got. Hope that helps.

Yep, deep sea green is it. As far as the contents, it's fairly empty right now because most of my tools are in my service truck during the paving season. I only work out of this box in the winter nowadays.

Joe - What model is it? That is one nice, really nice box. Love the love and 8" casters

Having recently acquired a new box, I'm slowly moving things over to it and using my existing boxes for additional storage/specialty tools. I'm trying to keep the mainline stuff - ratchets, sockets, wrenches, screwdrivers, etc. in the main box while things like punches, files, vise-grips will be in the old Husky/MAC box.

As much as I love BIG tools, I don't use my 3/4" and 1" drive stuff hardly ever, so I came to the conclusion that it couldn't occupy prime real estate. I moved all the 3/4" stuff over to the biggest drawer in my Cornwell cart this weekend:
Drawers001-800.jpg

The Cornwell also holds other seldom used specialty stuff, like body tools:

Here's the new Matco "main box:"

Getting the SAE wrenches in racks:

And others just into the box:

Same with the Metrics:

This is just the screwdrivers with tray/boxes... there are about another 50 or so I'm trying to organize in another drawer:

It's coming along slowly. This is the most organized I've ever been in my life. This is how my wrenches used to be "organized" for instance :p

I'd have to look, I've had it several years and don't remember the model number. With those castors, it rolls like a dream, even when loaded heavily.

And Zrexxer, I'll happily take that 3/4" and 1" hardware off your hands. PM me for my address! :lol_hitti

well, i have been on the lookout for the "perfect" box for about a year now (and saving to afford said perfect box) to store my ever growing arsenal of vintage tools - I have several old handyman and canterleaver boxes which are overflowing and just not cutting it.

Today i purchased that box

vintage britool box sitting on a caster'd dolly - this should be perfect for rolling around and under the projects

anyone able to date the box?

Just refinished my dads old toolbox. It is one like "Lookin4'67Galaxieconv" redid. Mine is stamped 1967 on both boxes. My stepdad thought the thing was red.... nope, that was just the rust!

It was a fun project. The rust was horrible though... heavily pitted on the bottom part. I got it as clean as I could and used some hammered finish grey Rustoleum to both hide the pits and protect it from further corrosion.

I added the upper box handles since the photos. I still need to sort out the locks... the keys might still be around. The casters will come in the future and I plan on using spray truck bed liner to line the drawers.
