This is my Snap-On top chest which I purchased recently. It is a used box which I made a cart for until I get a proper roller cab for it. It is very difficult to source used Snap-On tools in Europe. Would anyone know the model of this box or the years these were manufactured. I can’t find any info on SO website.

Here's a pic of mine in progress. Still need a few add-ons and organize some of the tooling. Looking for a Kennedy 2600 and a Kennedy CT-4 if anybody's selling one.

This is my work box, used for AStar maintenance:2337e6bc156f07677509624a316e07f0.jpg

Cannon plug and safety wire pliers.

Man those bring back some memories. I still have my safety wire pliers stashed somewhere in the garage. Back in the '90s, I was a Huey CrewChief for the US Army. Ah fun times...

Damn - that looks sharp, but you would have to really keep after it.

I'm thinking about ordering a new Lista tool cabinet and was dead-set on ordering it in red, but now...

Whats that cart that the craftsman is on? Homemade or a repurposed welding cart or something? I've thought about doing something similar.

It's pretty decent. Forget how much I paid or the gf paid. It is going to end up in my basement to store putty knives, painting tools, etc.

How do you like that kobalt cart? There is one at my local lowes that I have been eyeing everytime I walk by it.

At work we changed to company owned toolboxes for tool control. This is what a lot of corporate flight departments are going to now. So that means I got to bring my Mac MB1080 to my shop at home.

Masterforce's lifetime warranty has me sold, next time the 72"chest drops to $1,000, I'm going to own one.

I went to Sioux City and I stopped everywhere I could think of for a tool box. Lowes, Home Depot, Menards, Sears, and Harbor Freight. I even stopped at Northern in Omaha.

I didn't care about price as I was looking in the sub-1000 range and a $300 box or a $999 box didn't matter to me. I was specifically looking for quality construction, drawers that slid well, and reasonably well setup drawers.

Keep in mind that I am shopping for a box as a just-started mechanic at a small town garage, with a focus on [relatively speaking] simpler things, including intake manifolds and lots of R&R type work. We don't get any further into the engine than the oil pan and right now SOME electronic work but not a lot.

I initially wanted to get the 36" MasterForce but when I went to Menards to pick it up, they were sold out of the 36", so I had to choose between the 30" and the 41" box. I have a 41" Craftsman top+bottom box at home, and I always keep in the back of my mind "would I want this if I didn't work as a mechanic anymore" so I picked up the 30" MasterForce bottom box, then went back a couple weeks later for the top box as I got tired of bending over for every tool I wanted. The 30" combination works GREAT and I am really happy with it.

I think that the Masterforce line is the absolute best bang for your buck right now.
