It's been a while since I showed off my stuff, so here's my current setup. I just bought a tool cart from Harbor Freight, and still have to completely organize it.

Tool Cart

Fliptop Lid

I love fliptops. Keep all the heavy daily stuff in the bottom portion, and use magnets for all the small stuff. I buy neodymium magnets from www.kjmagnetics.com, who have good prices and ship quickly.

The photos are of my girlfriend.

that look nice carts and toolbox! also the pictures of your girlfriend are look nice too! But be careful as sometime technicians can look at and say bad thing about it.

My technician friend has two pictures of his girlfriend, some of techs do said bad thing about his girlfriend picture...

I don't really care if they do that. I'm too easy-going to be offended, even when it comes to stuff like that.

Especially since my girlfriend is feisty, and can reduce men to tears. :D

Looks like you went to Sears and then the Snap On truck and said "Give me one of everything!" VERY nice start for just 3 months!

it makes jobs easyier when you have the tools in the box and not have to go buy some in the middle of something and i have a snap on guy that loves to see me and the people at sears know my name already but ill post more pics of my power tools and air tools and when my other snap on tools and my new matco tools come in but i need a new tool box i cant really fit anymore but cant complain i got my two boxes for $60 for both

Drawer 4

The impact, brake, and tire drawer. All my common sockets are on the rail, with the others in their boxes. The visible calipers are Mitutoyos, which were given to me by a fellow tech because he though they were just Harbor Freight junk. My micrometers are in the large box next to the impacts. Those are Harbor Freight, but they're dead accurate. I've checked them.

I have a question, I have a pair of Mitutoyo micrometers that are stuck, is there anything that can break them loose without damaging them?

Any idea why they are stuck? i mean is there debris in them? is the locking screw stuck? What style Mitutoyo are they?

I've had a few that eventually got stuck from not being used for a long period of time. I did manage to take them apart and it was becuase of a very minor amount of rust, but they still were dead locked up

I was never able to clean them up and get them to work again

The box itself I got a decent deal on as far as Snap-On boxes go. It was 5 months old when I bought it two weeks ago. The dealer told me it's a one of a kind becuase of the combination it's in. Top chest, bottom chest and two side lockers with the left locker door flipped so it swings out the other way. Plus the drawer fronts are red anodized aluminum. Total original cost was around $8500. I got it for a little under $5000.

Cool. Very cool.

Hello all, I've been lurking for a while, but this is my first post. This is a great site with a wealth of knowledge. Here is what I'm working with so far, it's a Crafstman 40" combo I got as a college graduation present. The boxes are ten years old, but were brand new when I got them. I have been collecting tools steadilly for a while now and I use them almost daily. Enjoy the pictures.

Here's my used/new krl I just picked up last week. I still have plenty of room in it because most of tools I use are transmission related stuff and they usually stay on the wall or bench. Just gives me an excuse to buy more stuff though!

Edit: Sorry for the crappy photos... I used the phone.

15 turning 16 soon. Only have a small black and decker hand box to myself. The chest is my dads, but I use it a lot. Most of our tools are in the chest.

Gonna need to buy another box with my own money here soon. Little to no room left in either. Here are some pics

Mine:

My dad gave it to me. Its small but pretty much one of my pride and joys.

I bought the tools recently but had no where to put them and it was driving me nuts. I bought a HF tool chest today and organized my stuff. All the tools in the chest are craftsman. I know I have a lot of empty spots for the sockets, I'm working on it.

Thanks ... I'm trying

conrad 283, looks like you need another one of those already!

I know ... I have to re-organize some of the things because I still have wrenches on my workbench. But I do plan on the top and side too. I'll see what kind of sales they have around memorial day.

I took some pictures of my tool box. A friend welded some 2x2x1/4 angle iron for a frame, and I attached some nice Granger 5" 750 lb. urethane casters. I finally got all seven locks keyed the same.

i'm 15, check out my toolbox. there's a link to it in my signature.

Nice box man. I probably won't have that many tools for a while. Probably going to pick up a metric and standard wrench set from princess auto to try them out. Moneys hard to come by right now until I find a job or get into RAP. Though I've been taught to buy and have what I need. So I'll probably stick with a hand box for a while. Maybe just pick up a 28" or 32" wide handbox.

The latest setup after upgrading to a bigger top box. I think I still need a locker for all of the test equipment and misc. plastic boxes, even with two carts and the top chest. Sometimes it never seems to end...
