There is a big chrome one on my extreme box now. It matches the Extreme logos. I found it when cleaning out the old toolbox. I guess I was keeping it for good reason.

I have those same Erwin strippers and I'm not real impressed. The Gardner & Bender ones I have are way smoother. The Erwin strippers seem to be really stiff, they tend to break smaller gauge wire instead of stripping, and they are really bulky. They are not my first choice if I need to get in a tight spot I can tell you that.

What is that separator there that is holding your ratchet handles? It looks like one piece but it looks to fit perfect!

It is one piece and does the job perfect. Fits everything but speeders, breakers and my extra long extensions. I beleive I got it at sears years ago.

It's an old Union Manufacturing toolbox, not sure of any info on it.

Mixture of craftsman, s-k, snap-on, john deere, proto, taiwan ****, jh williams (iirc), gearwrench

Assorted metrics and junk,

And not pictured are my 1/2" drive stuff, 3/4" stuff and a bluepoint general service set.. but, I organized it about as best I could using the drawer liner from lowe's (not the one in 'tool world', though)

Almost forgot... here's pics of my new tool box.. as you can see it was quite an undertaking to get it up on my work bench. I had to buy an engine hoist... tow straps... had to pull the passenger seat outta my car to get the hoist home. Fun fun fun..

In the future I'll try to snap a few more pics for you guys...

Indy_500- you crack me up. lol. I read through your post about your tool box and your tools. Let me let you in a secret. I was 2 years older than you (I was 17) when I started buying tools.. I'm 30 now. When I was 17 I went to sears and bought a toolbox and tools for $70 bucks. I thought that tool box was the coolest thing in the world. Swore I'd never need another one. I still have it to this day. Boy was I wrong! At that time (17 years old) I was buying tools left and right. By the time I was in my 20's I had bought practically everything I could ever want from craftsman. As years went by I started buying stuff from snap on.. s&k.. mac.. ebay.. flea markets.. etc etc. My advice to you is to always keep an eye open for good deals. I bought a TON of stuff used and saved a ton of money.... I could NEVER afford to pay regular price for a good chunk of what I have. Even those tool boxes I have I didn't pay regular price for.. the right deals came along and I jumped on them.

ive been buying tools off and on for close to 40 years,
there aint too much that i need but dont have, but i still manage to run across tools to buy. ive passed along tools and toolboxes to a friend of mine that was "overstock" to me.
i have tools at work in the shop, my service truck is loaded down, i have more than enough in the garage, and tools in the house, so i dont have to run out to the garage.
hopefull someday when i'm gone my stepson or one of my friends will appreciate and care for them like i have.

Just found this site a couple of days ago, and it is full of info. Thought I would show my newest addition to the shop. I bought it off of craigslist for $240 (maybe a little much), cleaned it up and with the help of my buddy put a little paint on it.

I thought i might post up my tiny box of tools i just started building up a selection of tools mainly sidchrome made in Aus stuff also got a set of A/f Armstrong combination spanners just met a guy today at the swap meet that sells A bit of secondhand snap on so I'll hopefully get some good flex head ratchets any tips on what tools i should be looking out for in particular i work at a hydraulics joint that fixes rams on tippers and trucks also does some body building your expert advice would be much appreciated

My brand new KRL7023 KRL1203 combo in cranberry. For reference, i stand about 6'2" in my boots. Its TALL, but i'll be pulling the casters off and dropping it down on blocks to drop it by 5" or so.

theres the rest of it. and i am quickly needing a new box. I need some input from A&P mechanics on what i should get. I have a feeling that the job is going to dictate the box. but I want something thats fairly easy to roll around and is big enough and sturdy enough to use the top as a work surface. Im thinking a 56" with possibly a side cab
