GJ needs a Like and Don't Like Button.yes its a Ctech box. about time they decided to do something for us (field mechanics). every other truck ive had with this company have been stripped out, bare bones cab/chassis. this is the 3rd new truck they bought in the past couple years. )F550 & F750, both extended cab) this one is an F600 4x4 std cab.
my last truck was a3500HD chevy 4x4 with 204K miles on it. i drove it until the wheels literally fell off it. lost the left side duals at 60 MPH on the interstate one morning at 5:30 am
Lower right on every post? (Like at Least) then there is this:GJ needs a Like and Don't Like Button.
Or this: Hey man, sorry I know this isn't the newest post to bump. But I've had this same box for about 2 years. I had to add a couple boxes to my garage, so grabbed some cheaper used ones. In the process finally decided to refurbish this too. When I finally got all the drawers out I found the top sections lock mechanism removed. I just never tried to lock it, but it came with keys, plus extra keys. It's an odd workings. It has the 3 spring clamping bars, but the rod from the cylinder to the back is gone and what ever operates the other 2 when the middle is pushed is gone. And the lower 2/3 is a complete different system. Any chance you can send me some pics of that mechanism please. I say refurbish not restore because I'm not painting it red. I'm tired of red boxes, and black shows scratches way to easy. I'm going white and yellow for the drawers and smoke gray cabinet all gloss. Other than color though I want it back to original working order, ill never sells this one. I love it. I did find the original paperwork on it. I too have been calling this a machinist tool box, however Yorktown called it their "new sentry portable tool room". Men were men back then because the cabinet weights 108lbs and drawers are 68lbs. Plus I have the top box for 70 more lbs. EMPTY lol. Portable my ****. But of you could send some pics to my email [email protected] I'd be very grateful. I'll add a couple pics and paper work here.Purchased this Yorktown in 1970 while working at Federal Mogul heavy wall bearing plant in Mooresville IN.

What's the white box? Stellar? IMT?My new box in my new service truck
Guess I haven't posted in this thread yet ..
Here's my home transmission shop toolbox setup. Started out with an 68" epiq and it kind of got out of hand from there.
I also have snap-on's modular storage in my build area for parts inventory.
it's a Knapheide (sp?) KVT body. the white box on top of the body is the onboard air compressorWhat's the white box? Stellar? IMT?
Yeah, sorry the whole thing is a white box.it's a Knapheide (sp?) KVT body. the white box on top of the body is the onboard air compressor

thats the compressor heads, twin cyl, hyd driven off the PTO, air tanks are under the body. still waiting on the welder/generator and torches. should have the torches in a week or so, welder may be up to 6 months. (nothing in stock locally, or so ive been toldYeah, sorry the whole thing is a white box.
I was referring to the compressor. Is it just air or does it do any electric/hydraulic as well?
Thanks for making me drool over yet another all-Snappy setup. I'm quite happy with my Tekton setup at work but the different drawer layouts, etc that are available with the Epiqs are very nice. Can't go wrong with any of the modular storage... it looks so good in Snap-On red.Guess I haven't posted in this thread yet ..

That’s a beauty, would look awesome under my Bonney chest, which also has those fluted pull handles.Purchased this Yorktown in 1970 while working at Federal Mogul heavy wall bearing plant in Mooresville IN.

Congrats on the retirement!
I voted like for all three versions, but the plain black stealth version was my favorite, the hi viz might stop someone crashing into it though
Friend is at a municipal yard, they supply everyone with a yellow SO or Mac cart and then apply reflective tape all over it.I voted like for all three versions, but the plain black stealth version was my favorite, the hi viz might stop someone crashing into it though![]()
I have to ask, do you prefer the Carlyle, Icon, Snap-on, or Craftsman Professional screwdrivers?Organized a few of my drawers.. I’m running out of space..
I use the snap on the most followed by Carlyle.. icon were an impulse buy and yet to be used. I will use the occasional craftsman pro for small screws. I prefer the hard handle if snap on.I have to ask, do you prefer the Carlyle, Icon, Snap-on, or Craftsman Professional screwdrivers?
