Everyone asked for updated pictures of my socket drawer specifically as they see me buying all these tools lol. And please don’t think that’s all my ratchets I have way more lol. Also have tons more sockets at home as well over 2,000 at home. Those Power Torque low profile sockets I bought that are in the front of the top picture next to the short ratchet are life savers I want to get the SAE eventually too.

My current setup in my new box in preparation for a new job as a heavy equipment mechanic.
Most of it is Snap On, except the SAE sockets & SAE wrenches which I had to buy for the new job.
The other non Snap On items are older leftovers that I've either not upgraded yet or don't see the need to do so.
I still have things I need to buy for the job and of course the natural progression of just acquiring more tools over time.

If you work in the heavy equipment field, I welcome any advice and suggestions.
I've got a dedicated thread about job advice, but I wanted to post this here.

That was my original plan. But I came across the red box marked down to $480 as an "open box". But there is nothing wrong with it. At that price, I couldn't pass it up, despite the color.

The 44" is currently on sale for $550. On sale I saved $70 and at normal price I saved $140, plus tax.

I just about have my top drawer filled. I have space set aside for 1/2” impact swivel sets but haven’t splurged yet. There are still a few things I could condense if I need to squeeze in more, but I’m happy with the density.

I grabbed a shed/workshop pic today. I use a couple of Husky's under the bench. They're likely the only new thing in there except for a couple of tools. I have woodworking tools in the far box and gardening tools in the nearest box. This is a 8x12 shed but works great for what I'm doing.

I purchased and cleaned these up last year. Love em

I'm sure most of you won't be able to notice the changes in comparison to an earlier post above, but I've been moving things around and adding/removing tools so thought I would post some updated pictures.

This is more or less the setup I'm bringing with me with CAT.
But I've got a few things in the mail and a few things on order from my Snap On guy.
I will also be buying lots of tools in the near future, as has been discussed in other threads. However I'm not sure what I'll be able to take pictures of and post. We'll see.

Anyway, onto the pictures...

I have tools all over the place. Basement, shed but these are my personal boxes at work.

Gray box.jpg

I push this single drawer cart around and it serves me well.

I would be interested to hear more about that Gray box, it looks a lot like old friction slide matco

I pieced this set together over the last couple of years and it is friction slide. It does look like and old Matco. Could be the same maker. I have a bottom that has Gray handles on it and I know it's a Mac box. The wheel bolt locations are different than the Gray and it has the center drawer.

I've been buying old vintage Canadian made tools, boxes and machines. Pre "Free trade"

Sorry, but I don't understand your question. What 26"? This is a 44" box.

And I didn't swap any drawers, just moved things around and constantly refining my organization.

My bad. It looked like the first pic was a 26” box. That makes more sense to me now. 🤣

thats awesome, its a tool box it doesnt do anything but hold tools.if some one needs to flame it then its a show on their character. as time goes by i wish more and more i had gone the us general icon route instead of my snap off masters box. the more i look at it the more i hate the idea of how much money i wrapped up in it.
