Yes, it is shop-made from some 8020 aluminum extrusion and angle scraps. I emulated a commercial fence I had seen (pic attached). The clamp handle is from a table saw I scrapped out. Very simple, yet seems to work very well.

I thought exmaxima did an awesome job making the fence. I've already ran a few pieces through the saw and they came out great. I also looked up the serial number and the saw came up as a 1949 model. Awesome. If these old tools could only talk!

Nice!

How does that channel work, the Unistrut looking stuff? Or more rather, what is sliding in there to locate the fence?

Is it in fact Uni and you have a Uni related product that slides, or is it something else.

Sorry for all the questions, it just looks like a nice DIY setup i'd like to emulate.

I will take photos tomorrow of the set up and post them for you. Maybe exmaxima can give more insight for you.

I cut a block of aluminum to slide in the uni-strut channel. Threaded a hole in the middle of it, installed a bolt as a stud. It runs thru the sliding angle bracket and into the handle. It is by far the easiest fence I ever made, and it is adjustable for perpendicularity via the mounting screws that clamp into the 8020 aluminum extrusion. That extrusion has useful slots for adding custom fences or jigs as well.
