Lift Lowering Speed Adjustment

So I got my new hydraulic cylinder installed in my lift.

The bouncing and groaning seem to have completely stopped so looks like the real issue with the lift the whole time was the cylinder.

The problem I have now is... the lift both raises and lowers much faster than it did before.

So fast that it's kind of unsafe with a car on there.

There are two allen screws on the ram that I'm THINKING are adjustment screws but not sure.

If anyone has an idea of how to adjust this speed I'm all ears. Otherwise I'll just have to wait until tomorrow for Bendpak to be open and hope that I get some kind of answer.

Thanks!

Yeah, I wouldn't be turning those Allen screws before talking to the manufacturer. Nope. Give them a call and ask. They'll know.

I’m no expert.

I thought lifts had orifices in the hydraulic circuit to fix the rate of travel.
I haven't been able to find anything related to the Bendpak power unit or ram. I have found some adjustment videos on other power units, but they don't correspond to this one.

I'll probably just leave it until tomorrow when hopefully I can get someone from Bendpak on the line to help me.

Was hoping someone might have an easy fix but I'm just being impatient.

Although this lift has been down for a month at this point so I guess I'm not THAT impatient LOL.

Did you run the cylinders at full stroke multiple times to remove the air? I’m guessing they’re either bleed screws to help with entrained air or cylinder cushion adjustments. Probably bleed screws. Agree with others. Call Bendpak
