I'm going to upgrade the lighting in my garage / shop, but the layout is a little tricky to work with. The ceilings are only ~8ft 3in. high and I have some large shelves for storage overhead, which brings that down even further in those areas.
I've been playing around with DIALux evo a little to help me out and came up with the attached lighting configuration, which gives me a pretty even ~90fc coverage on the workplane in the main garage area.
The question I have is specifically about the workbench in the pictures. Short of moving the bench to a different part of the garage, any recommendations of how I can get good lighting there? The pegboard and overhead storage are giving me headaches. I can't mount it on the underside of the OH storage because it gets in the way of the pegboard and I'd probably hit my head on it. I can't mount it on the ceiling because I put long pieces of wood up there and the OH storage would block half the light anyway. Maybe something wall mounted? No idea, need help.
Thanks!
