The BOGO we did on here last month was immensely popular, I got a lot more purchase receipts than there were replies to the thread. I guess people wanted to keep it secret, and as a result I got a lot of belly achin' about people missing the 24hr window we did it in:bounce:

So here's your advanced warning, we will do one last one TOMORROW for 24hrs only.

For the product selection, think new from Astro
Buy Metric, get SAE....

See you guys tomorrow.

I hope it's not the pinless sockets because they aren't available on Amazon.ca. Thankful the last BOGO was available for Canadians too and hoping this one will also be.

Pinless swivel sockets are available on amazon. Just posted this deal on my twitter.

Pinless swivels are good, ya? I know the old Pinless USA swivels run a pretty penny on ebay. If these are decent they'd sell like hot cakes right?

Buy astro's torx or hex socket set, receive the hex or torx socket set free, depending on what you bought originally.

Is this deal going to be avail tomorrow, or is it going to be buy a set of sae or metric, get the other one free? I missed last ones and the current instructions are exceptionally vague. Also, the deal will be available on their website exclusively?
Thanks

The deal I posted above is what Astro ran last time. The deal they will be running this time is not immediately clear, but is going to be a new product from Astro.

There are no instructions yet, Chris from Astro is just giving everyone a heads up so that more people are in the know and less people miss the deal. The instructions from last time where as follows. 1.) Buy one of the sets above from amazon, and then 2.) message Chris from Astro your receipt/purchase order here on the forums, and 3.) they would handle sending you the freebie. The deal is ran for us Garage journal members and exclusive to this website not theirs. That said all this info will be posted in a new thread or updated in the original post here I'm sure. It's pretty straight forward.

and for what it's worth I'm not an Astro rep obviously. That's just how it went down last time.

Hmm.

Only things listed under their webpage as new that it could be is nano impact sockets or chrome flex sockets.

Never dealt with astro, out of curiosity what is their quality?

They dont seem to state Country of Origin on their website. That makes me assume it is made in China or another rebranded Taiwan.

For consumables (impacts) I guess a bogo is a good deal if its chinesium. As far as the chrome flex, a set is 50 dollars. A set of those not made domestically is of interest if it can at least function at a true 90° angle.

Kind of curious to hear more about astro, but dont really need more sockets after my "GJ binge." Jk I seem to never have enough sockets if the general consensus is Astros good, I might jump in for some back ups to throw in a container.

Do a search on here plenty of discussion about the company and their products. The ONYX Nano impact wrenches are quite popular on here, really put them on the map.

I'm in for the pinless swivels if that's what the deal is.

I don't know what the BOGO deal is, and it's 'today.' I checked their website, and didn't see any such promotional. When is it being posted, and where? This thread seems like the logical place, given the OP's 'teaser' announcement.

They are in California so it’s 6 AM there. Guessing it will be later this morning or early PM for easterners.

I've become a big fan of Astro and own quite a few of their tools. I'm away from home for a few days so I can't verify COO, but I'm quite sure all the stuff I have is Taiwan.

That said they certainly aren't what I'd call a "rebrander" - they have their own engineering department and are always coming out with innovative tools and options. They don't simply pay some Taiwan factory to add their name to random tools like some people would picture.

I have the Onyx Nano impact gun, which is great and can fit anywhere. I have the Nano metric 3/8 impacts, and the hex and torx Nano's, all great too, and very handy to have such shallow impact sockets. I'll be buying the Nano 1/2 sockets soon too.

My favorite Astro tool is the Hub/Rotor/Drum Puller set, one of the best tool purchases I've ever made. Super strong, great price, pulls hub and bearing assemblies and rotors that are stuck with ease. Stuff I would have hammered on for a long time before. And it's a set they designed and spec'ed out themselves, and is a fraction of the cost of OTC or competitors.

Lastly their customer service is great. Big presence on the board here. Warranty items people post pics of without question or even asking for replacement. The hub puller kit instructions showed an optional brace bar and when I asked about it Chris mailed me one for free!

I don't see ways to buy this via the Astro site, so I am assuming its via Amazon? But I don't see a BOGO via the site.
My carts ready to go but I want to be sure if I'm getting a Metric its coming with the SAE?
