I've had mine a couple weeks now and love it. To qualify, it's essentially my first "real" welder, but my first bead looked far better than anything I've done on the HF machines I've had. I definitely have the wobble in the wire drive that's been mentioned. I don't know if it's something I need to address with Lincoln or the LWS or not. Plenty of people have reported trying to get the issue resolved without getting a permanent fix, and it doesn't seem to affect the output.
In hindsight, I'd have skipped the spool gun. You don't save much, and it sounds like for many this is a first welder, personally I'll be working with steel for a while until I become proficient at it, then I'll get 100% argon and bust out the gun down the road. The extra $200 could've gone to consumables or stock.
For those for whom this is a first mig machine, don't forget to set your gas regulator. I did, and was wasting gas for the first couple of days.
I wish I could give more helpful feedback for those considering this machine, but any evaluation I could make would be like a cave man reviewing modern appliances. Suffice it to say, it was a big bite to take, and I don't regret it at all.

Thanks for the update, that was great.

I've ordered one and should have it in a week or so, maybe two. I asked about the wobble in the wire drive and the LWS hasn't heard of any issues. On other forums guys were saying there was a plastic piece that gets somewhat deformed that cause things to be out of round. Not sure how accurate this info is though.

This will be my first welder as well and I opted for the TIG kit. I was going to get one next year, but here in Canada the kit will jump up to $990.00. Getting the kit now costs $600.00 so the savings are considerable. The welder is also going up be almost $160.00 very shortly.

I NOW use the correct roller and tip for the wire im using. At first i was so eager to use the welder that i just threw the wire in to try it out. After a few issues with the wire binding up i decided to do things right.
if i remember correctly the wire they give you is one size .023.. The roller already on the welder is another size .30 and the tip another size .o35... Something like that..

Anyway.. I love the welder.. I feel like i can do anything with all the available additions and i dont have a bunch of different machines taking up space.

I swapped to the .025 roller to use with my big roll of .023. If you are doing thin tubing or sheet metal you don't want to use .030. Also on 120v use thinner wires because it is not enough power to burn .030. It would work but more prone to cold welds

I think 0.030 should be fine according to the chart in the welder. I guess I'll find out this weekend.

Just an update... Im taking the welder back. I cant stand the the issue with the roller any more. Im trying to weld inside a car and the wire keeps binding up. I had to crawl out of the car about 10 times the other evening and feed new wire threw it. Theres probably 100 feet of wire ive wasted and i was Pissed to say the least. I cant believe Lincoln would put this piss poor design out. Once again Americans are stuck taking a LOSS while american companys outsource to some shithole country with no quality control. This welder has taken the fun out of my hobby.

Mine feeds perfectly fine, are you sure you have everything setup correctly? Are you using the correct size feed rail?

Ive had this problem from the begining.... Ive done everything i could to fix it so its going back to the store or to lincoln but im not interested in spending anymore time or money to make it right after spending over $1000 on this unit. ive found plenty of people online that have had the same issue and there are a couple videos on youtube as well.

Definitely interesting. Must be poor QC on their end I suppose.

I'm really starting to wonder about mine. Radnor wire ran like ****, 1st half of Hobart 0.035 solid was OK. Last week was low on gas (~200psi left in bottle), i would have expected porosity but wire was sputtering like it wasn't arcing correctly.

Ran some 0.035 flux today to finished the project and that sure took some getting used to, I remember why I spent money on the gas 2 years ago!

If it was not arcing then maybe you are starting to go over the duty cycle ?

Nope, was doing it after just plugging it in.

I would describe it more as a b as d ground or a wire feed issue. Haven't put my finger on it, and haven't ruled out bad gas just yet

I was planning on picking one of these up next paycheck.... A bit hesitant now with all the negative reviews...

No issues with mine.

Keep in mind I have never done MIG welding before and this is my second time using the 210 MP, but I do think it does a nice job.

Have you checked your tension? It's almost virtually impossible for the wire to bunch up based on the design. Mine feeds really nice.
