Does anyone own one? Curious to know if you should go with them or a knock off...

I own a real one and we have both the long and short types at work. They're fantastic. I cannot speak to the knock offs.

The original is well worth it. I used to despise greasing stuff. Spend half the time fighting the stupid nozzle, trying to get it to lock on the zerks while your hands are greasy as heck. Now it's simple and easy. :bounce:

Buy the real deal. The Lumax branded one made it around 3 months for me (daily use greasing construction equipment) before it failed. The real Lock-n-Lube has been going strong since Nov, and haven't used the included rebuild kit yet.

I have the real one, and it makes greasing suspension bushings a dream. Definitely worth ponying up for the genuine article.

I definitely need to get that. Both of my grease guns are the lever type and it’s impossible to hold the flexible hose onto the fitting and use the grease gun.

I have one and love it....

I'm an engineer and read directions but could never get the normal couplings adjusted so they work 100%. Either too loose on some, or so tight on some that I have to loosen the coupler to remove it without pulling out press fit zerks. I think the issue is wide variation in zerk (and chinese zerk) fitting tolerances. Lock-n-lube solves the issue and removes the frustrations.

That's it. You need all your strength to get the fitting on some zerks so it doesn't just blow grease everywhere but in the joint...then it's stuck on and impossible to get your grease gun back. If you are thinking about getting a slide hammer, clearly there is something wrong with this situation.

L&L solves all of these problems for $30. Not very many headaches get solved for that little money.

I put a L&L on my Milwaukee M12 Gun - it's been incredible - cleaner, less wasted grease, easy and pretty powerful.

I ran into a clogged zerk that the M12 and Lock and lube couldn't fill - did a little research and bought this grease joint rejuvenator tool from Northern Tool. Filled it full of marvel mystery oil, fit it onto the zerk and then hit the piston with a hammer about 10 times and finally the oil started flowing thru the joint. Hooked up the M12 and pushed the excess oil out with grease. A neat tool that I should have bought years ago.

You won't waste your money on either tool.

I've had good luck with both them and the Canadian version (struggling to remember the name). My brother managed to break one, not quite sure how.

I just ordered one. I absolutely hated greasing up my tractor especially the front wheels because the coupler kept coming off. I have one fitting that no matter how hard I push to hold the coupler on, half the grease comes out. I can't wait to try this thing.

Just got one in last week.

Hit all the lube points on the tractor this weekend, it seems to be working really well.

I’m excited that I didn’t waste nearly as much as usual. Far less cussing involved.

I took a chance on lock n lube and love that thing!!! I told my neighbor and he bought one also. It’s not a gimmick, it really works! Good product!

I have tractors and implements, so I have tons of fittings that need to be greased so to speak. This significantly reduced the time to grease something.

I can't say I never heard a bad thing about them. I don't use them because of a number of hard to get at zerks that a regular tip is a pain to get to, so I don't see how the L&L would ever get at them. I use couplers from the Parker store tha simple say made in Germany. They last a 100 times longer than any other I tried. Also fit tight enough to work well on metric zerks.

Argh. I’ve got one zerk that is in a recessed hole, I’ve got measured at 0.628 in in diameter. The L&L is 0.630 in in diameter. Does anyone make a worthwhile thinner version?
I just built an extension hose with the original coupler on one end and a zerk on the other. Works great for all the recessed zerks.

That's why I tell everybody to get the accessory kit. Note that it has a narrow extender and a long hose extension. They are designed to mate with the coupler.

The L&L by itself is probably good for 80% of zerks. The kit covers everything else.

I got a Lock n Lube for Christmas 2018 and just put it on one of my guns a few weeks ago. It is great! It literally will change your life. Your life as in greasing equipment and vehicles will virtually be effortless.:rocker:

It is the real deal.

Jebus, why buy a knock off ?

Some places they are invaluable, many of the places that are hard to reach they are too bulky.
