I have a small two car garage.
I hang out in here, watching sports on the TV and smoking my cigs.
And leave the garage door open while my dogs hang out on their chains (they love being outside with me).
Right now I've got a Mr. Heater portable buddy that keeps me warm as long as it's 1' away from me.
But I'd like to open up the prime heating area to about 7' squared so friends can hang out with me and watch sports & smoke their cigs.
Us cig smokers.
Anyhow, I've got a couple 20lb propane tanks.
But I'm open to changing from propane to 220v if it's cheaper in the long run?
Those are my only two energy options.
What's the cheapest method (long-term) to heat up the middle of my garage during the winter months, while I've got the garage door wide open?
I have no interest in heating the garage with the doors closed.
Would like to stay $100-$200 if at all possible.
Temps dip down to the low 30's here in Central Texas.
It gets colder, but not all that often.
