Heh, I have never seen any kind of tool at our local ReStore. Sometimes there's some used consumables, sawblades & bits and stuff, but I've not seen an actual tool. It's only ever had leftover building supplies like windows, doors, lighting, countertops, vanities, etc.Sweet. Every once in a while I have to remind myself that the ReStore is good for more than just tool deals. I like the push button switches.![]()

This thread always makes me so jealous.

I don't buy tools there.
I leave them for you guys.
You leave the furniture for me.
It's just a stratolounger, but I've never seen a base model before. Absolutely pristine.
The center rolls are a bit flat because I had just sat in it.
I went afar to visit a HFH store in the rarified atmosphere where Seinfeld's parents lived on the sitcom, Boca Raton FL. I presumed that if you want better-quality stuff, go to a better-quality community.
Man, I'm disappointed! The story was just about the same as the Ft. Lauderdale store. Nothing worth getting, and if they did have 'something,' it was priced so-high as to be stupid to purchase it. Some Black & Decker dirty, used side-grinder, $129! That's only three times what you can find them for, online! A bunch of used-up Ryobi powered tools, insane prices, nearly-new pricing! The only thing I found I wanted to buy was a group of 3 books, they were 5 for $1, but I couldn't find two more that interested me so I left with 3.
On the way home I stopped at the Ft. Lauderdale HFH, but there was nothing, I mean, nothing to buy. No tools, no materials, nothing. very disappointing. I did stop at another faith-based drug residential program that runs a big thrift shop and the best thing I found there was a complete Season 1 of The Unit. Dennis Haysbert is always a good buy, in that role.
I'm pretty-close to not-bothering to visit the HFH store unless I'm in the neighborhood for some other reason.
