Looking for a weird hinge style for an interesting setup

I’m working on designing something and idk if there’s a hinge style that can accomplish this. All pieces of wood are 3/4 thick. I just whipped together this drawing not to scale.

theres two separate structures of wood that got to move relative to eachother. At the starting point it looks like this and the arrow shows how I want it to move



there’s more stuff to the left (on the blue piece) and the red piece is resting on a few shelf brackets on a wall. Red piece rests on the blue and also on shelf brackets.

i want to hinge the red part so it ends like this



the red part only rests on the shelf brackets from gravity and not attached so I can lift it and hinge it this way.

one idea I got is to change the design so it is like this and the hinge would be easier to lift and move the red

now I’ve just become real curious about different hinge styles because I never realized how complicated and interesting it could be.

Look at partial wrap or double action hinges to see if either type will do what you want.

I'm not exactly sure what it is you are trying to accomplish, but the guy who assembled this piece was quite imaginative when it came to concealing the hinges on the flour bin.
The unattached panel may have been attached to the floor at some point (note the screw heads), but in the 60+ years this piece has been in the family, it's never been attached and if you yank too hard on the handle (opening the flour bin) the whole thing gets knocked out of kilter and requires a bit of fiddling to get it to open and close properly.
I'm not saying this is an answer. Just showing this as an example of what one guy did.

thanks but sorry I didn’t mention I forgot that Im trying to avoid a visible hinge on that side. Trying to keep the hinge on the “inside” and only visible when you open the top

Oh wow those look real interesting I might have to get my hands on one just to help visualize it because even if it don’t work for this project it might be good to use for something else

That looks interesting I’m going to need to look at this a few more times to figure out how he did it.

Im working on making a custom home gym fitness storage that looks seamless and can store some items on the top of the red part like if your setting up for something you can put the pieces on top temporarily and then if you need to access inside the red part storage you obviously have to clear the surface of anything off. I’m trying to make it look seamless like magic so avoiding visible hinges on the outside (right side of the picture)
