Guys,

I'm looking for some automotive themed cabinets pulls. Any recommendations on stores that have them, or something you've made yourself?

I'm a Mopar guy, so Mopar related stuff is preferred. This is going on some nice wood cabinets in my office.

Thanks!!

Here's mine I made.

Wrenches. Stubby wrench set (used four of them) I got at Canadian Tire for 9.99.

Right one is a camshaft from a snowblower engine. Left is the gears out of an ATV winch.

I used some brushed steel pulls and cut the center out and welded the "pegs" to my handles. The wrenches I JB welded so I didn't discolor them by welding.

For my son's room, he has several big drawers. I bought some chinese 1 1/2" wrenches and drilled holes in them and mounted them on standoffs as drawer pulls.

Interior dashboard knobs and switches can make really nice cabinet / drawer pulls with some thought.

Not Mopar, but I used some scooter cowl latches for my scooter-themed shop. They already had a rod on them, I just cut the rod, threaded it, and put a small spacer between the latch and the cabinet face:

for my kitchen drawer pulls I used some spikes from the beams I was using for a faux post and beam feel. I ended up drilling and tapping them and screwing in from inside the drawer. above are some really cool ones but ask everyone how they did it. on mine I failed at mig welding studs to them as the difference in metal caused the weld to not heat up bot well. also tried epoxy and did not hold well.
a tig would have been the best but not in my arsenal. whatever you do order a few extra to play with if you make your own.

Check with an RC place and see if they have pistons you can buy. For my nephews cabinets, I made him what looked like pistons. It didn't take very long to turn them in the lathe, then a few minutes in the mill to cut in the skirt and valve reliefs. Everyone thought they were out of RC cars.

Or hit up a junkyard, and get some window cranks out of a few cars and utilize those.

Valves.
From curb side lawnmowers or a junkyard visit.
Someone with a lathe can cut off to length and then thread the stems.

I used some cheapo china wrenches for my locker at work. I welded some square spacers on one side and bolted them on the backside through the doors.

To take this a step further using the standoff idea, take some mopar logo images to a fab shop with a laser and have them cut them from brushed or polished stainless. Also have them put the holes for mounting to the standoffs.

I also had a friend who did something similar and used an off the shelf pull but had a backing plate lasered out and it sat against the cabinet face. Looked really good and had a lot of detail. The material was pretty thin so the laser cost was negligible

If you don't mind them a bit large, try finding some old Mopar hub caps with the centers that unbolt. I have a set of Pentastars from an 80's Chrysler I have been holding on to. Also from a 70's Dodge, I have a couple with the Dodge "Fratzog". It would be really cool to get some 3 prong spinners from mid 60's Sport Furys or Chargers, etc...
