I have been looking at doing the metal siding/roofing whatever ends up cheaper for my interior walls. I'm sure someone will post up, I've seen it done a few times on here.

FRP or fiberglass reinforced paneling. Used in commercial bathrooms and kitchens. It is available in colors and the light gray would look good. Available in 4 by 8 sheets.

3/4" plywood 8 ft high. Tin from 8 ft to 16 ft..Painted the Sherwin Williams precat epoxy primer on the plywood. Good durable paint..

If you are looking to kids proof it. I doubt even battleship plate will do.

I have metal siding roofing in my garage, hate it hard to mount anythung, you loose 2 inches of space due to ribs sticking out. Will never do it again.

Ain't that the truth!

I went with drywall on the bottom 4 feet and then slatwall up to the ceiling. Gives me the versatility to swap things around and adjust storage if needed.
