I'm looking for 1/8" [3mm] arbor METAL (not nylon) cup brushes for my rotary tool. They have them at McMaster-Carr for $2.75 each. These show COO as Germany:

They can also be had on Ebay for about $13 for a 45 piece set (with a bunch of other ones I do not need):

Does anyone have any experience with either of these? Are the M-C ones significantly better? I'm looking at $0.28 each vs ten times that. I would prefer ones that last. I realize these are consumables, but I would like to consume them at the slowest rate possible.

Another way of looking at this is I can get 15 of these at M-C for $35 or 15 plus 30 extra for $13 on Ebay, or 5 at M-C for the price of the set on Ebay.

This is the thread I researched a few years back.

Unfortunately, Widget Supply has closed, about a year ago, but that’s where I ordered from. Quality seemed to very between wheels, some were good, some not. The cups flattened out real easy at low speeds.

I found some Dremel-branded ones at my local hardware store. They were $10 for two. I was there, so I picked them up despite the price. We'll see how long they last.

I'd like to find some of these that held up - let us know how the Dremel branded fare
Previous attempts with Dremel branded showed they lasted longer than no name, but not 5x longer, based on price difference. The widget supply ones lasted longer than the no name, at a slightly higher price.

The cheap ones I had shed wires like mad. WEAR GOGGLES! and expect to be picking the wires from your clothing.
Can't speak to Dremel branded.
