Ordered 1 of the Werners from Lowes online. Guess I'll head to HD tomorrow and try and get one of the Gorillas.

Same thing happening to me at Home Depot. I've got a bunch of BF items in my cart for local pickup but the site is showing every store in a 100 miles with limited quantity and won't let me put the order through. I'm hoping they release the hold at midnight. I can get it shipped, but I'd rather pick up. A few things I'd like to grab, but nothing so bad that I want to be there at 6am.

Hmmm I bought the Ridgid miter saw stand on line last night. It was ready for pick up an hour later

I'd love a Werner platform...but my weight hovers between 225 and 230 pounds year round. I think I'll have to find something slightly more substantial.

I "hover" a little heavier than you. Used a werner platform all last Summer with no problems

Is the Gorilla available for you guys to order right now? Lowes shows ~100 of the Werners in stock at the sale price and available to order, but HD doesn't allow me to add to cart.

Yes :rocker:

SORRY I take that back. Its saying limited stock now

If you had to choose one which one would you go for? I'm really trying not to get both here.

Edit: Lowes is so desperate they'll even ship to you free

I'd go with the Werner if you can order it online now....you might not be able to snag the Gorilla if you have to go to the store to buy one. I'm only getting the Gorilla to try one. I think I have 5 or 6 Werners.:eyecrazy:

Thanks, I'd still want to go pick it up in person rather than opting for free shipping. This may easily bend if dropped or mishandled.

Agree with picking up at store. You should be able to order online and do store pickup, that what I always do if it's available as an option. FWIW..if someone is worried about having it shipped, mine have always been shrink wrapped with some pretty tuff plastic, would take a lot of abuse to F these up IMO. Then again.....:dunno:

Did anyone notice the gladiator cabinets on sale? I see some pretty impressive deals on the 72" ones. I just bought the 72x36x18 from sears and since its shipping to store Im going to cancel if I can score either the 72x36x18 ($179)or the 72x48x18 ($249). They rarely seem to go on sale. I missed out on the home depot deal last week for the 36" last week at $149.. which was extremely rare..

Curious about these as well. Haven't seen them in person, and wouldn't assume they're pro-grade, but at that price I'm definitely interested. Would assume they'd be in the same realm as the light duty Craftsmans? (which seemed quite flimsy to me)

Saw the Kobalts are 20% off too?

They're pretty sturdy. I can be rough on tools and this held up well. Buy online and pick up in store a day or so later. You can always return it.

Some good deals on Gladiator workbenches. Had been watching the 8' for a while and only saw it at $400-$500. Lowes has it free shipping to store for $336. The 6' is $200 and change. Cheapest I've seen by far, so I bought the 8'.

I excitedly bought one thinking it was 96x42 inch tabletop, but now i see 42 is just the max height and the tabletop is only 25 inches wide :(

Ordered 1 of the Werners from Lowes online. Guess I'll head to HD tomorrow and try and get one of the Gorillas.

Just came back from Lowes and HD..Wow, both places were like ghost towns. TSC was the same way.

Anyhow. Both place by me had plenty of work platforms. Don't understand why HD wouldn't accept online orders on the Gorillas for pickup. My store must of had about 100 of them. Ended up with 2 of the Werners. Passed on the Gorilla one. JMO, but I can't see how the Gorilla has a higher weight rating than the Werner. The flat fold up was nice, but it seemed awful wimpy to me. YMMV

I just came back from HD, and no one was picking up the Gorilla (the HD I went to was pretty packed, most picking up the flowers and Miter Saw specials). I picked up one work platform, have yet to open it up. I'll be on my way to Lowes to pick up the Werner and go from there.

I noticed the Gorilla model was extremely light weight. I wonder what the weight will be with the Werner.

In my experience, home depot never lets you get the sale price online. Even stuff that says it's on sale on the website is always cheaper if I walk into the store.

HI, guys. Been lurking here and taking advantage of some of the deals posted here. Thanks all. Will try to give back as I can.
In the meantime, does anyone know why Lowe's website says "free shipping on all orders", but some of the tools, like Kobalt miter and table saws aren't even available for delivery. (I am shopping from outside the US, so can't do store pickup).
Thanks for any info.

Could be a matter of them being out of stock online or they are only available in stores. I did check a couple of the miters and one table saw..both showed unavailable for pickup at my store or for delivery. Might want to try the chat feature for more info. I'm thinking they are just sold out. Seems like they had pretty hefty discounts on the Kobalt stuff.

As of 9:15 this morning you could order the BF deals on HD.com for in-store pickup. I grabbed everything I needed, a couple were getting low in stock (the $69 ryobi batteries specifically) but there was plenty of most other things like the gorilla platform. I grabbed on of the Werner platforms as well. I wanted 2 platforms so figured I'd try one of each, might be handy to have 2 slightly different sizes.

I hit Lowes at 6am and it was empty. Scored the platform for $19 and then picked up this one off Kobalt white chest for a very nice price after another 5% off with my Lowes charge.

I went to Lowes on Wednesday night and was trying to find pellets for my wood stove. There wasnt an associate in sight. So I went up to the register and had her page someone.

20 minutes later I went to Menards (across the street) and was greeted by 3 associates at the customer service counter... I went right to lighting where I was greeted by 2 associates and a third came over to help. (checking on their 4' LED lights)

WAY better service from Menards. Lowes pisses me off

I picked up the Werner earlier today. Will be comparing with the Gorilla. I wonder if both will be keepers

Available online also. Anyone know how this compares to the HF 44" roller?

I really like these new branded toolboxes we see from Milwaukee/Dewalt/Rigid/Kobalt...but I'm too afraid to admit it to my friends.

I'm in line at lowes today and the guy in front me was buying the display of that white combo. Rolled it right out the front door
