From my dealing with them no... every store is different, some will price match clearance others hell no and they get pissed when you ask lol. I've tried 10 different local stores since the other thread started last year.

Some the employees will hide the deals, others they are clues less to them. Lowes is all ways a YMMV deal.

Very true.

Corporate policy is to price match only within the same district.

That being said, I've had mostly good luck getting price matches on non-stock clearance items. It's always worth asking, and if you don't get the answer you want come back another time and ask someone else.

I had one point to the poster behind the CS desk where it does say clearance items are not included in the price match policy. So YMMV depending on what store and who your dealing with.

I don't bother ordering online since I have so many stores close to me, every time I ordered online for pick up I would never get it. Go in person after checking stock online, if its not on the shelf find someone from the store and ask to check the over head stock its all most all ways there.

$5.97 each down from $19.99. I have the Gear Wrench version, love these little kits for my motorcycle tool rolls. These are made in Taiwan, probably in the Gear wrench factory. Their function is very smooth.

Both sets show up as 'new lower price' of $9.** at all my local stores. Hopefully they go to clearance and drop in price.

Could you post a picture of the back of the set with sockets? Curious what bits and sizes it comes with and the site doesn't list them.

Even at $9.97 this is still a great deal. I picked up the ratchet/bit set and paid $19.97 a couple of weeks ago and it is a very nice little kit. I need to go back for a price adjustment now as well as to pick up the ratchet/socket/bit kit.

those mini driver kits are great. the bits hold up pretty well and the wrench is sweet.

paid for itself doing a blower motor under a dashboard. the previous version came in a black fold top case, much sturdier. managed to crack the perspex on mine to the point it fell apart.

Inserts are steel. I think it's gear wrench! I'll try to dig up my recept and post it for possible price matching.

BOSTICH BOX BEAM LEVELS on Clearance:

96 inch was $89.00, now $63.40 Item No. 293936
78 inch was $84.98, now $63.73 Item No. 293939
44 inch was $49.98, now $44.98 Item No. 293942

Other stores in Charlotte area show other prices and Item numbers. Seems to be model changes? As usual too, on line vs. store quantity differences...so go to the store. My store showed no 32 inch levels in stock; store had at least 3 at discounted price.

Was going to post this, picked up a bottle at $0.99 last night. Down to $0.44 at another local store.

I order the rest the store had (15), but of course they call me and said it's out of stock.

My store had a big display right on the end of the aisle. Thought about hitting up the other store, but I don't know how many cans I really need :)

Ideal data/coax tools marked down an additional 40% in the Savannah area. They hovered at 30% off for the past few months. Paid $74 (w/tax after military discount) for the following:

45-131 Stripper

35-046 Coax Connector Tool

33-622 Compression F-Connector Installation Kit (lowes.com shows a kit with older and seemingly inferior compression and stripping tools)

62-140 Tracetone Wire Tracer

30-503 Crimpmaster Ratchet Crimper (additional dies can be found online for a fraction of what Ideal charges)

33-856 VDV Multimedia Cable Tester

35-185 110 Style Punch Down Tool

30-603 OmniSeal Pro Compression Tool

Most made in US or Taiwan. Testers made in China like almost every other electronic device nowadays. I stayed away from most of the data tools for now. With wireless internet and cell phones being so widely available I figure that the cable tools will see more use.

I missed it. Watch for windshield washer fluid. It was down to .48. I bought 2 jugs out of a case an employee had their name on. I also bought some copper fittings to go to the scrap yard with. No ten foot copper on sale around here.

Hey KTMrider, did you know the black tab on the back of the case is a belt clip, just turn the tap 180 degree.

Sweet! It looks designed to be movable. I doubt if I would carry it that way but it will be good to hook it over something to keep the tools from slipping and falling down in the abyss of a modern engine compartment. Each item does stay firmly inserted to its space.

I would have drove those copper pipes right to the junk yard for a quick profit.

Yep, .65lbs/ft for 1", makes those 6.5lbs each, current prices around me is $2.75 for #1 I think, that puts each stick at $17.88 scrap price. He got 18, so 18*17.88=321.75-18*5.67=$219.69 quick profit for just driving from Lowes to the scrapyard.

You are not serious are you??:shocking:

$220 profit from just driving it to the scrap yard? Why not? Sure it's a waste, but a waste on Lowe's part. Unless he actually had a use for or knew someone to use it that would buy it at a discounted price yet still above scrap price.

More than likely the scrap yard wouldn't scrap it, but probably pay scrap price for it, then mark it up a bit and sell it at a discount. Enough plumbers and contractors come through that would recognize the deal.
