found the jack about 20 miles away for $40, going to try and get it a little cheaper but $40 isn't a bad deal regardless.

Some new mark downs I noticed today

Task Force magnetic tray for $2.99
Kobalt 2 drawer tool cart for $107
Century auto darkening welding helmet for $10
Task force welding gloves for $11
5 pc pliers 253677 for $4.48

Everything but the cart was a handwritten mark down, so no promises but seems like they're cleaning house. These items were moved to the ladder/truck tool box aisle.

The employees will grab the good deals most time before the customers see them.
As an employee, if I am not there when the items are discounted.....I miss out as well

As a manager where the "level 5" clearance rack is locate

FYI for those looking for jacks. Go to lowes website. The website will tell you which stores, if any, has the jacks. Out of five local lowes only one had the jacks.

Any thoughts on the tool cart at $107? I know the HF black cart is just a little more money, but this one has two side shelves. Mine would only be used to temporarily load tools from my main box to do jobs in the driveway.

I played with one last night and was not impressed. I have one of the black hf carts and they are way better. You can get them for 99 with a coupon. And a couple of sunex side shelves would get you the shelves you want.

Thanks for that I was also wondering, went to Lowes today to tinker with one but they didn't have a display model. A guy at work has the US General black one and I like it. Figured the US General would be better anyway.

kobalt 5 pc pliers set for $5.99

Item #: 83419
Model #: 54364

Assorted PliersIncludes 6" long nose pliers, 6" diagonal pliers, 6" slip joint pliers, 7" locking pliers and 8" groove joint pliers. Pliers are made of chrome nickel steel, locking pliers are made of chrome vanadium steel for durability. Double-injected molded handles provides a non-slip grip. Kobalt tools meet ANSI standards.

Thse are $2 now. My local store shows 44 in stock, but I'll be damned if I can find them. I think the new models of tools are so close (like the pipe wrenches) that the employees can't get the inventory straight.

On the plus side, I did pick up a few 10" pipe wrenches for my boys today. 4 10" aluminum, and 2 10" steel for a total of $10.71. I think it was $1.49 for the steel, and $1.69 for the aluminum. Already picked up some 14s and 18s for peanuts last time I was in there.

I think I've paid a total of $24 for 2 - 18"ers, 4 - 14"ers, and 6 - 10"ers.

At one of local stores they had the plier set for $5.** on clearance, but I passed for this...

Item 226951: Ingersoll Rand air hammer. Clearanced for $45. I got it open box for $30 with all attachments.

I found them in the tow hitch isle. They had a clearance section set up.

Might also find these. This set was at my Lowe's for $4.48

I guess I am in the minority. I think this cart is nicer than the HF black cart. The drawer detents hold much better and the metal seems as good or better. For 107 that is a nice cart.

I have had my eye on that cart for a while. No display to see, but it is still $143 at my store.

Was $107.99 at my local Lowes today aswell.
Even for a beat up floor model, it was bad. The colapsible side tables are not one piece. The metal flexed to much for my taste.
But if you get it just for light stuff, it'll work.

I heard from an employee that at my local store they brought a table out and set it up in the main isle for the weekend and were doing 50% off the marked price. I didn't have a chance to go in and check it out though...

I picked up a folding Ideal imperial allen key set for 99 cents.

They also had a bunch of Kobalt branded crossforce individual wrenches for 50% off, but they were still pretty expensive. Like $5 for the smaller sizes, and it goes up from there. I never liked crossforce either because I link wrenches occasionally.
