^^ This ^^ None of the Lowes stores near me ever have much of anything on clearance and what they do have in never anything good like guys find. I was at the one closest to me today getting a hole saw and walked the entire tool section. Didn't see squat.

I look it up online to see what's on sale then I "change store" to see which ones have it available. Then i look for more when I get there.

I've tried putting in a brand on the website, like Kobalt, then search on price low to high. You can quickly scan the prices on the right and see if one isn't like the others, meaning, it will say price change or something and there is more text there with the price if it is different. Then if it is, my brain will slow down and I'll actually read what the thing is and the price. Sometimes you find one on clearance for not much. There are many other brands though, so you have to do this several times and maybe every week or two. If something is on clearance on my store, it does show the correct low price on the website for my store, but the inventory may be incorrect. Meaning it might show one is in the store but in reality it is gone. Also, clearance stuff in my store disappears within hours it seems! Still, I found a few deals the last few months. - Paul

That part is obvious. I meant to find out what's new on clearance, not all this stuff everyone already found...........

That's when I roam the store looking for yellow tags....or go to their site, click savings. Then click shop clearance.

Engine, agreed. Believe it or not, I only recently started discovering the insane Lowe's clearance deals they have occasionally. I had long ago given up on Lowes since they are higher priced than everyone else where I live, and I only shopped there when I really needed something the other stores didn't have. Well, thanks to this and the previous GJ thread, I've now found a couple nice clearance deals for like $0.25 each. Thanks all ! You are all super people here, despite what your friends or familly think of you ! :)

I always write down the model number/item number too. A few days back, they had these little oil cans for $0.69 each down from like $8 each. I went in over lunch break that day and they were already all gone, but the sales helper was willing to check the storage stock, and they did have some more there. So I got some after all for me and some family members as gifts. Where they put things in the store is random, halfhazard, and potluck to find things yourself. I almost always need sales help to find stuff, but usually, people are very helpful where I am. - Paul

Yes, they have some great clearance prices on things at times. Locally, I bought two pair of Knipex pliers when they were selling out a few months ago, and a handful of Nickolson USA made files a few weeks later. I should have bought more of both. They replaced the pliers line with Southwire and all the files they have here are non-USA made now.

Sometimes they will show their clearance items on the website. In the search box, type in "clearance" to see the categories. It is worth checking sometimes.

Lowes is weird when it comes to clearance as most of us know by now. I have 4 of them around me, and I regularly stop at 2 of the closest ones. One of them leaves the clearance items on the shelf. The other one leaves some on the shelves, and moves the bulk of the items to a small shelf way in the back by the area rugs and floor tiles.

The one near me has most of the clearance items marked and on the shelf, but at times they will have to go search for them.

As I mentioned earlier, if I know what I'm looking for I will get the item # and SKU # from their site and take it with me so they can look at the price for the item on the site and see that it shows that it is in stock. Then they can't make excuses.

There have been at least three different times when someone had to call the store manager before they would give me the discount price, since it showed up in their system as the full price. But, they have not failed so far to give me the price on the site if it shows it in stock.

Also, one time I talked to the manager and mentioned that Sears is very bad about not having the items in the store that they show on their site. He flat out told me that in his store they ALWAYS have the item in the store if it says they do on the website.

My lowes (Canton, GA) had the long handle flex head 1/4 ratchet and the x beam wrenches. Also numerous small bosch drive bits and everything related to their quick connect bosch holesaw system.

Thing with typing in clearance, not everything cheap is on "clearance" so those items won't show up. Some are just much lower prices. Once Lowes sells out their current stock of them, they don't disappear from their website, they just suddenly reappear at a higher price and out of stock. So that won't get you everything just looking at the clearance part of the site. - Paul

Ran across one item that might be of interest. There is a Kobalt aluminum body racheting screwdriver set for $4.98. Item number 239377, normally $9.98. Link is below. While racheting screwdrivers can be had for less, this is a nice one with a very thick body, rubber grips on it, and bits in the top. Sears and HD with Husky have had identical ones but not racheting in the past. I think well worth $5. This one in my store is not marked down and the system did not have the lower price. Buying online and pickup in store worked for me at the lower price if interested. - Paul

Lowes.com said pb blaster was in stock in the +20% size. Went to the store and the inventory is the regular size. Not new, but why can't their inventory system do better?

If PB Blaster uses the same SKU number for the bonus size and regular size, Lowe's has no control of that.

Oh! While I'm talking to Lowes-knowledgeable folk, they have 1 USA made 1/4" 6 pt metric/sae socket set (#Item #: 266590 42$), the only USA Kobalt I've been able to find IN-STORE. Any idea on the original supplier?

Same here. Website showed the bonus size as being $2.48 at my store, but could only find the normal size can which showed up full price.

I'll add another vote for this one. I bought it a while back at $20 and I don't feel cheated even though the price is less now. The ratchet by itself is worth the price, and the extension and socket are a great bonus. Right now it is coming up as $18 on their site for me, but I see that others are saying it is $13. Either way, it's worth it

zip 23060.

The orange handled M400 are lighter duty but seem to have a nice blade and angle to them, too good to pass up at this low price if you can find them in stock near you. The green M7RL are much stronger, but add them to your collection if you don't already have them from a set.

I get what you are saying and that would be beyond their control. However, that is not the case. The website shows both the 11oz and the 13.2 oz with different product Item numbers. It features the bonus product and that was the item I checked. Even the shelf tag I saw said it was for the bonus product. They just don't manage inventory well.

After searching my numbers on Lowe's web site...they are not showing up. Upon further investigation...Lowe's doesn't even have anything Kobalt Crossform (X-beam style) on their web site.

I have no idea why this is
