7-amp Dewalt 3/8" variable speed drill is marked down to $44.00 (from $59) through the end of the month. I went ahead and picked one up today, so I can give my dad's old Skill back to him.

Item# 150087

After searching my numbers on Lowe's web site...they are not showing up. Upon further investigation...Lowe's doesn't even have anything Kobalt Crossform (X-beam style) on their web site.

I have no idea why this is

I noticed the samething

I'll add another vote for this one. I bought it a while back at $20 and I don't feel cheated even though the price is less now. The ratchet by itself is worth the price, and the extension and socket are a great bonus. Right now it is coming up as $18 on their site for me, but I see that others are saying it is $13. Either way, it's worth it

KBLT 3/8-IN SPARK PLUG KIT

Item#:436178 | Model#:87058 $12.58 1

I just picked up three of these at $8 ea I love the ratchet for the road box now I have one to sleep next to my snappy flex!!

Some people use the zip code of the person posting to change their store selection online, add to their cart, and bring a printout to the store for a price match.

Many of these items are regional or store manager selections, it seems, so ymmv.

Use store #2267 since I see the links are useless.
Has that issue been figured out yet ?

So I ran up to the Fargo Lowe's today. It said online they had 2 of both

Item #:284253 24" Cast Iron Pipe Wrench

and

Item #:436178 Spark Plug wrench set

Wrong!! Neither could be found. After a half hour struggle I finally got the manager on duty to give me Item# 337304 3/8" Drive flexhead ratchet for $12.58 like the set was listed for. He originally would only take $10 off the ratchet and $10 off the current version of the pipe wrench. So I feel like it was a slight victory.

I also got a set of needle nose Kobalt pliers Item 253679 for $3.05 and a couple needle nose Kobalt locking pliers for $2.47 each. Along with a 10 pack of 3M electrical tape for $4.44.

Still pissed about the whole deal.

For me, with clearance items, it's a "sometimes you win sometimes you lose" kind of deal. I don't get pissed off because they're not in stock, the fact the manager did anything should make you happy. These items are non-stock closeouts. I enjoy the opportunity and have benefited greatly from these deals, but yeah, I've lost some I really wanted. My dealings with the lowes closeouts is sometimes disappointing, but I don't take it out on the store. I just chalk it up to the game of saving some serious cash.

^^^ Agree.

When I see an item I want on their site, I first check to see if it says they are in stock at a nearby store. If it is, I write down the ID# and go to the store to look for it. Sometimes they have already sold out before I can get it ... usually not. Most of the time the employees have been helpful in trying to find what I'm looking for. I can't complain about that.

Keeps me coming back and looking carefully down several aisles, often buying more than what I came there to get in the first place. Maybe thats the point.

OP said something about repeating the great finds from last year. I got to see that today

Lowe and behold, the local store finally went down further on knipex 10" alligator pliers. Had been about $17 for most of the fall and I had mitched and boned in the 2013 thread about these never having gone lower.

Saw the PB Blaster 20% more cans at my local Lowes yesterday. They were near the garage door stuff in one of those displays that sits in the middle of the aisle. I was also able to pick up one of the 4pc Mechanics sets with the flex ratchet. I left a few on the shelf. If they drop any lower than $12.98 I may get another. Also saw the stubby wrenches on clearance. My local is always one of the last to put anything on clearance. So I was a bit surprised to find what I did.

All Fram air and oil filters are on clearance.

Normal price for an air filter for my truck was $21. Tag on the shelf said $8.59. I grabbed 2 of them and they rang up $5.99

Has anyone bought the Porter Cable Item #: 394828 | Model #: PCCK413L3 3 pc Li-ion tool set? This is the drill, impact driver, and reciprocating saw.
It is now on clearance for $159, down from $189.
I know it's not Milwaukee, DeWalt, etc., but is it a decent set for the price?

that looks like a good set. B&D, Porter Cable and Dewalt are all the same line. the lower end stuff has slower chargers, plastic chuck, etc. that kit has the fast charger and 2 batts (one of them is a big one)....that's a good deal. The batteries alone are about as much as the kit price.

Did you happen to see the sign say $12.58? My store still showing $17.**. And online is saying $17.**. Don't know if it was a mistake or not or if some regions are only getting the clearance.

I picked up my 3rd at one store, it had a clearance sticker on it for $12.58. Happened to swing by another store in the area and they had a rack with a label for $12.58 I think I've seen them at 3 different stores now in the last week and they've all been the same price.

Must not live far from a Lowes. Out of stock is more of a pisser when you've driven 90+ miles to your "nearest" store. :scared:

huge price drops like this aggrevate me.
they have either been getting over on you money wise, or have now outsourced to a different[lesser quality] supplier.

...or they are clearing them out in preparation for a new SKU, likely from a cheaper supplier :(

How low can they go? Eventually they'll just sell you the rock and you extract the ore and forge your own tools ..... true DIY.

Usually the clearance stuff they throw out. Don't know about the tools but in my local store they put the clearance stuff they can't sell on a cart for a week or so near the front of the store then throw it all out. That's what the manager told me when I saw him doing it.

I've gotten good stuff that way. Got a bunch of metal gutter guard the other week 5 pack for a buck. Not sure what I'm gonna use it for.:bounce:

Folks, please make a point to post the SKU #s of these deals, when you find them. I'm on the road today and will pass close to a dozen Lowes/HD in my travels, but can't stop at them all.

FYI: any of you detroit guys still looking for the 3/8" ratchet kit, the canton store (48187 zipcode) has 9 of these kits still in stock as of last night. They are located in the "towing products (hitches, tow straps, balls, etc)" section of the store.

Paid 12.58 plus tax!
