Go to the store. I've checked inventory before on things and it has been wrong on some occassions. If you find a floor model and it's non-stock most will go lower to get it out of the store.

A store about 20 miles from me just put them down to $71 today...with promotion I got it for $65.30. Hopefully they don't call me in the morning and tell me they don't have anymore in stock.

That's the Harper Woods location for any other metro-Detroit people.

searched and found them for $95 in Pensacola, ordered both they had and used the coupon posted in this thread by Alxdr8 so I got them for $85 each. I can sell one and mine is free. I will say that I saw no other stores around that had them discounted, but the deal is good so it is worth checking. Obviously they are down at some stores since it was posted on another site and I found them. Keep watching them.


FYI/update - looks like there is one more at $95 in Ensley Florida (still pensacola area) so hopefully someone can grab it.

Bought a Kobalt tool cart for $71 and also picked one up for a coworker. Great box for the money. Also bought a cornwell tool cart today ($410) not as good of a deal, but it matches my cornwell box! Might have to go back to Lowes tomorrow and get another cart!

I got it from Tradeland in NH. I have a blue 58" Cornwell Box, I've been searching for a top box for it and a matching cart. Still searching for the top box, finally found the cart. List Price is $780, they were asking $550. After a ton of haggling got it for $410.

Haha that's awesome. What a small world!! Yea, I'll be there tomorrow. Sometime after 2. I'm not sure you saw, but the guys I was with picked up a set of Snap on Slim-line wrenches for $250, I just looked on snap on and they retail for $800! He got a great buy, I'm jealous.

Yea there are some bargains there. I picked up a snappy general service 1/2 set there for $200 which retails for around $700. Great place to shop but being a tool nut and working there is horrible

Picked up a pair of stubby wrench's SAE & METRIC $2.50 ea..

12 Wrench's $5.

The short 7/16" one fits nice on a few of my header bolts, now I can throw away my cut bent homemade shorty..

The red/blue color wrench holder works nice too..bonus..

regular combo wrenches were on clearance for 10 bucks and the twist handles were on clearance for 12 bucks. seemed like a good price. ive got to many but was going to buy them just because. not sure how i lke the closed ends on the wrench so i passed.

good deal for spare wrenches or to toss in truck or boat. i wouldnt use them as primary set.

You start with a store that has them clearanced to $71.60. I have 6-7 Lowes in my area and only one has them for $71, the rest are a little over $100. Add in a $10 off $50 or more coupon and you're at $61.60 before tax. Just picked up two.

I keep changing stores and don't find these really low prices until I start using stores 3 hours or more away. Will they price match these at any Lowe's with proof that it is cheaper at other stores or am I just SOL?

I love this thread. I have not shopped at Lowes for years until these clearance items came up. Just picked up the cart. Lucky for me, I have about six Lowes within driving distance from my house or work.

The only way you can be sure is to ask. I asked my closest lowes if they'd match the $71 Priced, they said no. So I went 15 minutes down the road and the second lowes had it for $71.

Something I've noticed is if you live in a small town with only 1 Lowes and 1 HD, they won't have much in the way of deals. Go to a bigger town/city with multiple stores and the deals are plentiful.

I am considering picking one up - can someone tell me the internal dimensions of the top space and the drawers? I want to stick some wood planes in the upper part but if they won't sit in there without laying down on their sides, I don't want to buy it. Also, what's the deal with that section of the lid that comes down into the storage area? Can it be removed?
