Staying with family tonight and the store near here has 3 tool carts in stock at 70 some bucks. Not worth it for me though.

Snagged the last cart I could find at any Lowes within a couple hours from here. I had been watching their price, they had three as of last week @ $70. Dropped to $30 a couple days ago, but I wanted to go in rather than order online and have it "disappear." Store is 30 miles away, and when I saw the stock drop to 2, then 1, yesterday I pulled the trigger and ordered. Amazingly it was actually there when I went to pick it up today! Wish I would've got two, planned to keep one and gift one, but I guess I can't complain.

I've noticed both the IR air ratchet & tool cart taken off inventory "in stock" at stores that actually had them here in Central FL. Talked to a store manager that walked by, and he stated they started taking clearance items out of their system. I don't know if this is dependent upon each department/store manager or if it's become a new standard operation.
My IR didn't even ring up at the register.
The second cart I bought was at a store that had two, and showed 0.

Those interested may want to just visually check next time they stop by Lowes.
Hope this helps...

I tell myself they are gold tags instead of yellow. It gives my thorough and highly coordinated searches of the store more meaning. And I also don't feel like such a cheap *******. :D

Can someone explain to me how this thread works? You guys monitor the Lowe's website and when an item goes on clearance, you alert folks via this thread and then people go to their local store to try and get the clearance deal?

Well it's a little of both, most of us walk around the stores from time to time and when we see stuff on clearance we post it on here to see if other cities are having the same items on clearance.... some do many do not. This way is less time consuming that's all....

I believe it's the Channellock 89. They have been on clearance for quite some time now and are not listed on the Lowes website.

Yea I got at set of them, Fire Fighters use them, Davie Fl store had them for 4 dollars and change during Christmas, they haven't been on the website for some time... ended up giving them away.

One of my local Lowes has them, still marked full price. I took them to the register to double check

I was at the Carlisle car swap meet yesterday and a vendor there had the Kobalt tool carts for sale asking $130.00. If you like tools, there are always numerous tool vendors at the Carlisle events.

This may have been posted earlier in the thread; the local stores around Tri Cites WA is closing out a bunch of small items in there pull out Hillman drawers located in the nut/bolt isle. They have everything from automotive stainless button heads for .7c for a 10 pack to trailer hitch hair pins for .10c for a 4 pack. I ended up just opening every pull out bin and buying the clearance items I will use. The gentleman at the Kennewick store got a good laugh....

Saw these last night, the Hitachi bit sets were 29 bits for $20 and still are, but now they have a 130 piece Hitachi set for $35.

I bought 27 pounds of that stuff at one area store. Mostly stainless stuff. Some stores put a sticker on the drawer so you do not have to open all of them.

These have been at this price for almost a month, pretty good deal. They feel rather decent.

Note that the 29-piece set has more sizes than the 130-piece, the 130-piece has multiples of the more common sizes, but skip sizes as well.

I just found a 40pc Kobalt SAE/metric 3/8 drive set on clearance at my local Lowe's for $19.97. The item number is 338512. It is all sockets except for one extension and a ratchet. No fluff like screwdriver bits. The original price was $59.99. YMMV as we all know how Lowe's prices are.

So I found the 130 pc bit set and the 40 pc socket set locally and added to cart on my app with 10 off cpn. It's so addicting! I haven't purchased yet though. I really do need some new bits. I frequently need smaller ones and never seem to have the right small ones because they've broken.

If I buy the bits for 35 I may as well get the socket set too so I can get the 10 off right?!!!

Got the kobalt utility cart! last time I checked no one had it. today I just happened to check and someone must have returned one because one of my near by stores had 1 available. I bought it online and picked it up to noticed that had been opened before but for 23 bucks I wasn't gonna complain. turns out the upper side edge was warped but a little bending took care of the issue and now it looks dang near perfect.

the cart is still searchable via the link

I used this coupon generator to get 10% off.(also does 10 off 50 and 25 off 250.

These are marked down to $9.99

Blue Hawk 3/8" combo SAE/Metric. Seems good as a backup set for the wife's laundry room box.
Also these micro Kobalt hex sets were 99 cents each.

I picked up this Reciprofit tool set on clearance.
First time I've ever seen these, but for under $10, I figured one day I will be glad I have it.

Is the hillman hardware marked down on the tag? Yellow tags? Can you give me an item number to check locally?
