VAUGHAN 10-in Pull Saw with Double Blade for 16.** locally seems like a warm deal. Made in Japan.
#88288
(all the vaughn saws seems to be in various degrees of discount)
Edit: I can't seem to find it elsewhere for less than 30.

I ordered 2 3 packs out of 6 listed online for $10.**. They just called and cancelled my order. Third time that's happened in a week.

I just picked up aa 6" bessey vice for $30.00 not the best price but as lowe has thay would go. Thay still have one left.

I think you got a good deal. The Lowes near me has only two of the 5" Besseys left. The last survivors, and they are asking $51.00 each for them. Irwin now rules the roost in the clamp section.

Just hit my local Lowes after church this morning. They had Wiss aviation snips on clearance for $3.49, regularly 13.98. Item number 29955. YMMV

So it has been about 4 months for me since a Lowes deal actually was available in my store. I picked up one of these yesterday. Look real nice, US made, for cheap! What a nice find. Thanks for bringing this one to my attention! I had to ask the guy in the store to check back stock, as there weren't any left on display, but the website said there should be some, and he came back with about 10 of them! - Paul

Today, I found a store with an even dozen Bessey corner clamps at $2.40 each.

They also had two Rockwell 72 pc Oscillating Tool kits at $22.35 each.
Item #: 112285 | Model #: RK5102K

I did have to spend $25 in gas round-trip.

I kind of feel bad...like I stole. I know it's illogical, but it is what it is. I think it might be because the Rockwell discounts were DEEP. They started off at $149.99 each.

Just my two cents here. I order quite a few these items from the Lowes Clearance thread... The only time I had a cancellation was when I got greedy and tried to order a huge amount of one item....I got the email saying not gonna happen....so I put in another order....for just one item....and they processed it no problem I got the confirmation email....now I have to go to the store and pick up my one item....and when I do I will find the item on the shelf and then buy multiples....

Works for me...

I managed to track down two metric and two SAE socket tray sets (the red and blue ones) on clearance for $3.49 each by searching a few lowes while travelling this week. Seemed like a smoking deal since they were like $20 each originally I think.

Anyway if anyone is near and looking, Moultrie Georgia Lowes has about 14 blue metric sets and around 11 or 12 red SAE sets on the shelf still. Hard to find them but tucked into the bottom of the back tool wall right near the socket area.

Tx bond ..... I know exactly what you mean. I live in SA and couldn't find them anywhere within 100 miles of me and San Antonio has countless stores all over. This week we are down in South Padre Island and yesterday I stopped in the Harlingen store and found these.

Right next to the 29 piece is the 130 piece set for $ 29.98. But it does not state high speed steel like the 29 piece set does. Any thoughts? The 130 piece set has either 15 or 20 each of the smaller sizes up to 1/8" then doubles up to 5/16ths and then just one each up to 1/2". And it skips some of the 64th sizes.

Bryan, I posted the 29 piece set 3 months ago for $20, I don't know about the 130pc, but can recommend the 29pc ... I've used three different sizes, in different steel, and the've worked great.

that 130 piece Hitachi drill bit set looks awesome and lists for $25 at one of my local stores:3gears: It's multiple bits of each size. The amount of drilling I do which is not much should last me a long **** time with that kit.

I couldn't resist, I picked up the Hitachi 29 piece set even though I just got the Skil. This thread is bad for my wallet.

Any feedback yet on the larger 130 pc set if anyone got it? Are they the same bits as the 29 pc set?

I opened up the case in store, it seems that they are the same, you just get less size selection and more quantity of each.

They're both gold oxide, that's just the coating. The steel is HSS on both as far as I could tell.

I am going by what the website says. The 130 piece is gold oxide and the 29 is just high speed steel. If you opened them both and saw they were both gold oxide then the website is wrong in the descriptions.

edit: now I looked at the pictures of both and they both have gold oxide coating on them.

I've got both hitachi kits. The smaller bits will run through mild steel pretty quick. The last 3 or 4 seem not to cut so fast but I was going through 1/2in plate. All he smaller sizes I've used throw off nice chips

Sometimes you can't really depend on the web description. I've looked at both in store and they looked the same. Both has the same description in store. Each set has size that the other set don't have so make sure the set you buy have the side you need.

I have the 29 piece Hitachi, Skil, and HF sets. They are all HSS w/ gold oxide and come out of China. Although the shanks on the larger bits on the Hitachi set are smaller, so you don't need a 1/2" chuck to use the 1/2" bit (not sure about the Skil).

Saw this at one of the local Lowe's on Sunday. I checked it out, and it was pretty flimsy, but cheap. I've been looking for something about this size in this price range because I don't really have that many tools (or a garage). Regular price is $99, it was marked as on clearance for $94. Figured I would pass, since $5 off to me is far from "clearance" price.

Was stuck at home all day today and basically just surfing the net for the past few hours, and noticed it was marked 75% off. I figured for $25 it was worth a shot.

EDIT: They just called to let me know it's not in stock and they're cancelling my order
Guess I'll have to keep looking.
