I was lucky...I bought those 4 tool chest from a Lowes way out in the middle of nowhere over 200 miles from home. I just happened to be driving back from visiting my mom in San Francisco. The night before leaving, I looked up some Lowes that were on my driving route, and I found one that indicated they had 4 of these tool chest in stock. So I ordered online and I got a pickup notice in the morning! Then when I went to pick up, they were all waiting for me right there behind the pickup desk. I was surprised, I though I would get canceled.

This was in the city of Madera CA by the way. I bet a lot of Lowes in low traffic areas have a bunch of these deals versus Lowes located in more populated areas.

My Lowes never has any good clearance items!! Perhaps it's because they normally don't carry much on hand to begin with so the one or two items they do have go pretty quickly!

$5.00 **** hell. Must have blown the manager. I jest of course.

I just searched none within my driving distance.

That is probably best deal I've seen in a while.

My local lowes is becoming slim pickings. I'm thinking employees sucking the deals up.

Something I noticed during the great bessey closeout. There are closed sliding cabinets above the wall near the tools. Some were stached up there and I noticed when an employee was on a ladder getting something for another employee. The stuff is out of sight. They can wait till it's low enough price and take it out of hiding.

Just left lowes in pace florida. They have 500 feet caution tape for 37 cents. Ten rolls should last me ten years. Dang I probably need to go back for more. I use flagging tape for trees and shrubs I'm marking. I'd been getting harbor freight stuff or whatever I find cheap. Hard to beat 37 cents.

On that Lowe's stainless top box. I just got a cancellation phone call. Right after I printed my confirmation email. At least I hadn't left yet.

Would it be better to just sprint to the store and buy it then notifying the employees so they can cancel your order and steal it? Just a thought.

I just went over there anyway and it was on the shelf. I grabbed it and bought it at the register. $35.06 after tax.

Found another store that had one, same phone call, it is however still listed as in stock at that store. I'd be interested to see someone find the item they want in the store, place the order in store on there phone, and observe what happens. Their inventory tracking can't truly be this atrocious can it?

I've learned that employees don't do the best job looking for an on line order item. Easier to cancel it. On more than one occasion I have had an order cancelled, then found it myself. Bad news is at that point it shows the full price and my Lowe's won't work with me on the non-stock item. Sorry Lowe's, I'm not paying more than I already paid you once.

I actually did that last week. I didn't believe they had it in stock and then while I was walking around I saw the toolbox in the top rack storage. At that point I knew I would be able to get it. I went to lunch figuring I'd get notice it was ready for pickup. I waited a bit longer after lunch but no notice received. I went back into the store and saw it had been pulled. I then went to customer pickup. Took 10 minutes talking to the lady. She was like we don't carry that item it is a non stock item. I told her I saw it get pulled. She went to look for it. They had placed it somewhere in the back. I assume a holding area for larger in store pickup items. She wheeled it over to the customer pickup and then proceeded to tell me the item is not available and she couldn't find my invoice. She didn't know what she was doing with their computer system. She brought a manager over who then tried to explain that someone else had paid for it in a different store. While these two employees failed miserably a third employer who was listening to all of this printed my invoice and called me over to sign for the box and leave.

Found Bessey clamps in Los Angeles. About 6 left in the store. Dewalt bits for cheap. Plenty when I left. Last Kobalt screwdriver.

I have a sneaky suspicion about that too.

In the future, I am going to the store first, locate the item, then order it from my phone (if the price is cheaper online vs the store). Then I will bring the item myself to the pickup desk :)

I know where some employees do that. At my favorite store I had the employee get in the top stock for bessey.Their inventory control is out of control. Most stores have the tool box at $114.

A couple of local stores had these marked down to $3.99, regularly $9.99. I can't see much use in the 1/4" drive adapter, as my Craftsman premium ratchet is as thin as this adapter on a 10mm Gearwrench, but I got it specifically for the 1/4" bit adapter. This set uses metric wrenches instead of SAE, helpful for people like me who don't have SAE ratcheting wrenches.

Just picked up the tool box in Auburn wa for 36. I tried getting them to price match the 5.15 invoice but they wouldn't budge!! I also used a 10% online promo code I Googled.

How do you like the box? I found one locally on CL new in box for $40.
Sorry I haven't checked it out much. I picked it up on the way to a kids birthday party. It seems good for the price though. It was funny, the store showed 1 left so I took a gamble on it not getting canceled. They called and said it was a display model and asked if I still wanted it. I said yes, got there and an employee was cleaning the finger prints off of it and said if I didn't show he was going to buy it!

I wouldn't have paid 114 for it or any more than 50 probably.

Hi Everyone,
First time to post on this site. If anyone is interested in some Ingersoll Rand impact sockets Lowe's has this set cheaper than any other place I have found. This is an 86 piece set that has both regular and deep in 3/8 and 1/2 drive.

http://www.lowes.com/pd_486313-2830...L=?Ns=p_product_qty_sales_dollar|1&facetInfo=

I also used a 10% off coupon that I found by searching the internet. My only complaint is there is no 12mm in 3\8 drive.
