Probably for the better, I was never impressed w/ DeWalt's angle grinders. One had switch failure after a few weeks, the other wasn't wired properly to begin with and required disassembly to rewire. Eventually ended up with a smaller Makita that's been solid, and a big Fein 14A that was posted up here earlier.

My store had them for $.22, also picked up a six inch p2 for $.34, a few dewalt one inch hole saws for about $.40 and a Hatachi plug set for $.90. All good prices but I have yet to find any of the other deals found here like the tool boxes and random batteries for cheap.

I actually am, is it rare to have those prices here?

Up Here in the san francisco bay area ive searched items from this forum in the 10 closest Lowes and usually none of them have the items on sale, when they do its only a couple dollars off. not the crazy deals others get. ive followed this thread almost a year and have only found 2 of the really crazy deals the theyve been at 2 lowes that are across the bay. meaning bridge tolls+gas= not really a deal. like the 33piece screwdriver set that the guy above got for $1. they were $8 here which i also thought was a great deal at first :eyecrazy:

Same here. I remember when those blue service carts were on sale everywhere for like $35. There was one at the lowes by my work that stayed $80 forever. I checked every day on the internet to see if the price would change. Finally after like a month or so it did and was gone like instantly.

Picked up 7 of the 338530 (33 piece) screwdriver kits for $1 each. Awesome price :)

Man...that's awesome. I'd give those out as x-mas gifts. My sister-in-law is always asking me to fix stuff around her house, but she doesn't have tools. At that price, I'd buy her a set and just leave it there.

For some reason, my Lowes (NJ) never has these bargain basement prices. They'll discount 25%-50%, but never any of these dollar bargains. :dunno:

It seems that every store has a different policy regarding the things they put on clearance. There are three Lowes within 20 miles of me. I've visited them all from time to time over about three years. One has never put anything on sale cheap, another rarely has any deals, and the other constantly has something selling at a clearance price. Not much of the 90% off stuff happening lately, though.

I live near Denver, and I have yet to find any "deals" at any Lowe's near me. Same thing with HD.

I don't even bother. If I need it, I find the best price and buy it. I do find the manufacturer's deals, such as a DeWalt or Milwaukee special or something. They all have those. But no clearances, mark-downs, etc.

Anyone have the part number for these 14 inch dewalt metal fiber cutting disks? I cant the tell from the pic. The closest store to me had some still full price, but a much smaller diameter (10 inch?) In the clearance area. Dont wanna burn gas if I can do an inventory check online first.

They changed them out in favor of a different DeWalt impact tip that they put in a different aisle. There's a whole new line with the curved neck that's supposed to prevent tip breakage.

The new ones are all full price.

Probably a local pawn shop, or flea market guy. I've gone to HD or Lowes looking for some of the stuff people post about only to find it all gone. I walk into one of the pawn shops and there it all is, being sold at the normal list or higher.

Many here will say they bought higher than normal quantity. You know they're selling on ebay etc.

eBay is full of Kobalt items. That being said, I did buy 5 of the Kobalt stainless steel three drawer chests, but I kept one, gave one to my dad and sold the other three for what I paid for them to a couple guys at work who were too far from the Lowe's that had them to make it worth their while.

Not really at least from what I remember a couple months ago (I like the grip ratchets so I look). A lot of the sets are too heavy for the scalpers to make money off of. Not a lot of people would pay 16 bucks shipping to get a 10 dollar set of pliers or something like that. I see it sometimes on craigslist and some stuff on ebay (usually open stock) but it's not priced that crazy. Hell, there's not really a ton of harbor freight stuff on ebay either probably the same weight/shipping issue.
