If you get two of these for $25 then that's a great deal. I bought one several months ago and it has held up well. Coast makes some quality lights, in my experience with them.

Probably a bit late to the party on this one, but I snagged 3 sets of the Kobalt jackstands for $30 total.

Nice score, I watch the Franklin, NC Store often because they always seem to mark stuff down to the lowest price, it's just a little too far to drive from Spartanburg unless the deal is incredible. As a matter of fact I found these hose reels for $15 at your store, $50 or more at all the stores near me.

Nice. I got one set from Franklin then drove over to Sylva to get the two they had. Jackstands are like towels. You can never have too many.

I can't remember if HD had these during the black friday stuff, but last year I got one of their leftovers of this for less than $50. May be worth checking out if they did have them around BF.

That's a great deal. My Chinese pancake compressor crapped out. I had some Xmas GC and saw this on sale.

Kinda off subject here, but does anyone else use the Lowes app? It's a useful tool for the bargain hunter, and is loaded with features I'm still discovering. I lost the physical MyLowes card a while back, and the website was broken when I tried adding purchases in the past, but the app worked perfectly yesterday. Not to mention the digital MyLowes card I always forget about. Also, while playing around with it yesterday, I discovered the bar code scanner--no more questioning what price a clearance item will ring up (unless it only scans at the fixed national price). For the past few months I've used the app primarily for browsing tools and checking availability, but I'll be trying the scanner in a few hours. With luck I'll be back in this thread sharing some good finds.

Thanks, Maybe some of the reviews are BS. If it drops lower here ( still d~ $69 ) I'll bite.

Prices here are all over from regular to $30. Awesome score though for $20 as long as it lasts awhile.

South Savannah didn't have much over the weekend, but I did pick up a few Bayco K-205 cord locks, item #316475, for $0.27 and a surge protector for $3. Stopped by another store later and picked up a few concrete tools.

Found the shop angle finder mentioned awhile back at one out of 8 lowes in my area. Ordered online since it's not the closest store to me. Never got a ready for pickup email, so 2 days later called the store. A young guy picked up, and proceeded to tell me for over 5 minutes that he couldnt find the order. I gave him several phone numbers it could have been under, name, etc. "Nope, don't see it". I logged in and pulled up the order on Lowes site, and said I was looking right at it. Offered him the order number, he said "nope, that won't help". When he saw I wasn't going away, all of a sudden he says "what was your phone number again?" Boom- "oh, here it is". I'm thinking, is he retarded or lying to me? Then he asks how much it was (it was 75% off), andby this time I know he's pulling something, so I said I didnt remember, since I know if I tell him $3 it will be in his pocket... He proceeds to look up the inventory info, tells me the last date in 2014 they sold one, and then says "oh, its a discontinued clearance item- im sure we dont have it". ??? I asked him to look on the shelf. He said "I'll see if I can find someone to look for you...) (I guess its beneath him to do it himself?) Puts me on hold, and surprise surprise, never comes back. Im pissed at this point, so I keep holding. Eventually, the store operator picks up, and transfers me back to order pickup. Guess who picks up? :) I tell him I recognize his voice (since he's never given his name once) and ask him if he was ever going to come back or just let me sit on hold all day? He then says (you're gonna love this lie) "oh, I remembered looking for it yesterday, and we dont have it." I said, you JUST now remember? "Yeah, I forgot till I looked at the item description". I couldn't believe what I was hearing. I told him that my account was already charged, and he said " thats a pre charge, you dont get charged till we actually acknowledge the order." This guy knew all the ins and outs cause he'd obviously done it before... and explained why I'd never get that acknowledgement email, and also why I still have no cancellation email either (since im guessing it will look like I just never came in and abandoned the order, so it will cancel and go back in stock). I emailed Lowes customer care, and never even got a reply back. What a joke.

I e-mailed Lowe's Customer Care recently about an item I was interested in to see if they would match another store's price, and I didn't receive an e-mail back either.

Heres how you fix his little red wagon.... call the store back and ask for the "M.O.D."... explain exactly what happened, if he/she cant or wont make it right... tell them you would like to have the number for the district manager. I will lay money you will either get your product or get a refund in seconds.

My take is that it's impossible to prove that the little weasels are stealing the clearance merch out from under legitimate customers, but I'm pretty certain that's what's going on. Something very similar happened to me at two different stores that were clearancing out some tool carts for stupid low money ($15 for something more or less equivalent to the HF black cart). Both stores showed the items in inventory. One had 2 and one had 1, and I bought all 3. Then both stores conveniently 'didn't actually have any in stock' when I came to pick up my order. Uh huh. And the stock weasels didn't go to pull them, see the price, then stick them behind a box in the back until after their shift was over and they could buy them. Sure.

Another thing to consider. I've had numerous orders canceled. I went to the store and searched the overheads and many times I found the items myself. Some of the employees are to lazy to look up or don't want to get a ladder and look for the items. iv"e brought this up with managers and told them I don't even work here and I can do a better job of finding the items myself. Try going to the store and do a search yourself, you would be surprised. If an item is listed as a non stock item, they automatically assumed they don't have it and will tell you that without even looking.

Yeah don't order high %-off clearance items online, you need to find it yourself in the store. Don't expect people getting paid $10/hr to bend over backwards for you, and by ordering online, you're just alerting them to your finds for their own taking.

It's a real crapshoot picking up internet orders at Lowes. Their service desk employees are frequently useless. I would not attribute it to malice, just laziness and incompetence.
