Good luck with that. I've only managed to get them to price match another store once, and that was when they were clearing out their Knipex tools years ago.

Ha just tried. They said they'll only price match within a 20 mile radius. Well at least I still have 2 more stores near my work to try it lol

**** just remembered. The attendants at the self-checkout always need an approval for any kind of discount. I know the regular cashiers can give discounts without an approval (such as military discount), but they may still need authorization for an override like that. I'll try at the contractor checkout tomorrow by lumber in another store tomorrow.

I have a Lowes $25 off $250 coupon that I'm not going to use.

First come, first serve: 470019136046900 Exp. 5/26/2015

Save someone from having to try a bunch of different random numbers.

Just ordered 2 of the Irwin Powerslot diagonal pliers for $5 each online from the Beaufort, SC store. Called them up to have them ship to New Hampshire, and the lady I spoke to was giving me attitude, saying she want's to charge $79 for a truck delivery fee. She said they don't do ground shipping and rudely transferred me off to some other department. The lady at the other other department had no clue why she transferred me to her, and then transferred me to the tools department, which actually wasn't the tool department... it was "Tool World" .. wtf is Tool World? Their rental department? Either way, that guy had no clue. I just hung up and called the 800 number customer service, they took care of it for me and charged me the $7.99 shipping.

Well this turned out to be a headache. called the 800 number today to check on the order, and they claimed that they have no record of talking to me yesterday and no record of charging for the shipping. No charge for shipping showing on my cc account either. The guy I talked to today said he would look into it and call me back. He never did. Called the store directly, and naturally, got the same rude customer service rep, who told me there was no charge for the shipping, and that the store couldn't ship it, but I could pay a $79 truck delivery fee. Then she hung up on me. Called 800 and talked to someone different, he got me on a 3-way conference call with the store's manager. The manager charged me the $7.99 + tax and said it will be shipped out tomorrow. I guess I will just have to wait and see what happens now. The 800 rep confirmed that ALL stores are supposed to ship stuff for a shipping fee, so if you get a cs rep saying no, ask for a manager.

I went to my local store last evening with a copy of the photo and receipt. They had plenty of the pliers priced at $40 but they wouldn't price match either price. Said they don't price match clearance pricing. When I asked "Who clearance prices new tools?" they said, "sorry, can't do it."

Went back to the same Lowes where I price matched the pliers yesterday to pick up a couple pairs for friends and got a completely different story today from the same employees I dealt with. No deal today, I guess I should have cleaned them out when I had the chance. Lol

Rockwell Jawhorse item 109233 showing 60% off at my store, 38% off at other stores nearby. I still wouldn't pay $53.64 for this... Maybe if it was around $30

I got the Jawhorse during one of those sales -- I think it was about $60. Well worth it for me, but I work alone a lot.

473091 southwire wire cutter $1.98. 90% off. Just bought the only one at my store

Just ordered some from my store and they were some how only $0.82. Picking them up after work.
Went to use my old cutters this past weekend and they wouldn't cut anything to save my life, so it was perfectly timed. Thanks for the heads up.

Lol that's something like 97-98% off. I think they cost around 30 at full price.

Are these things anything more than a sawhorse with a clamp on it? Trying to decide if it would actually be worth it to me. I guess i'll have to play around with the display model at the store.

Yeah, that's pretty much what it is--a heavy, stable sawhorse with a big clamp on it. But that's deceptively simple. There's an ad video out there (available on Amazon.com) showing the various things it can be used for.

The engineering of the thing is very well thought out. Like, for example, the legs have stirrups so you can get some extra stability when you need it (I sometimes use it to hand plane boards, for example). It collapses and has a wheel on the bottom so you can roll it, the clamp is strong but very easy to manipulate, doesn't mar stuff, etc. I don't use it _that_ much but it's nice to have it around when I work by myself.

I just had to sand and finish a 10' long railing for my basement stairs.

If I used regular sawhorses, I would have speed clamped the ends to them and had a lot of area I couldnt get to because the clamps were in the way.

With the Jawhorse (I actually have the Ridgid version, but same thing), I screwed a couple short sections of 2x4 to the underside of the railing and clamped them into the 2 jawhorses I have. Full access to the whole railing to do whatever I needed to.

Ive also used it when I had to mortise hinges into door slabs...one horse held the door completely stable.

Rockwell Jawhorse item 109533 was $31.66 at the North Oklahoma City Lowes. I pickup up the last two. Other local stores still show it at $99.00 to $159.00.

I have never used one, but figure I can't lose for the price. These will clamp up to 37" wide and I have an old solid core 36" door that should make for a decent temporary work bench to build a real bench on.

I could really use one of those Jawhorses. If anyone picks one up at the sale and wants to ship it to me I'd pay for it. Still be cheaper than paying $100.

Jawhorse is $99 here. Maybe it'll come down or it's less in-store than marked online. Seems pretty darn useful.

You haven't mailed anything lately I take it. UPS/FedEx gouge the hell out of anybody who doesn't do high volume with them.

Tell me about it. I shipped 4 Ryobi trimmers (weed whackers) and they charged around $25 each for UPS ground shipping.

I thought I was overcharging when I listed the shipping for 19.99 on Ebay. I screwed myself a little.

My store must ****. I haven't found one of these deals that have been posted in my local store. Everything is full price.

Don't feel alone. I have gift cards still from Christmas that I was planning to use for clearance tools.

I don't do high volume but I do have an account with them and yes, shipping has gone up considerably but it can be done. Also USPS is way cheaper than those 2 for a lot of items. The only time I steer clear of USPS is coast to coast shipping because they are more for that.

No go here on the jawhorse. Only one I saw was the display and it has a $149 tag stuck directly on it. I did not see a shelf tag where the rest of the stock horses were either for the jawhorse so maybe they already cleared them out. I'll be back over there again this weekend for some things and I'll check again. Interestingly I did notice that they moved the clearance tag from an endcap where I bought the last two of the Irwin diagonal cutters. They put it on a shelf, none were there but it was still a $5 clearance tag.

Same here I sold 12 of those Milwaukee 12 volt dremel tools, and shipping killed my profit, along with ebay, and pay pal. I made a little over 300, and those were small packages. The Jaw Horse are way bigger weight 43lbs, you'll spend 50 bucks at least with no insurance to ship. I was pricing them out at one of my stores, they have them at 52 dollars and they have 17 on hand. Was planing on using the 50 off 250 code. was going to get 10 to sell. But its to big, takes to much space, shipping plus 10% ebay. to make what 30 bucks on them? Not worth the hassle, Heck I checked ebay they haven't sold that many since April, and the market will be flooded with them soon with people who get them for resale.

I'll probably get one for personal use.

If you want that display model, I would ask them to scan it. I just bought the display model at my store. Sticker on it said $139 Clearance but scanned at $54. They gave it to me for even $50

Dewalt D28402 is $69, they are taking them off the shelves now so I picked one up. Not sure how good of a deal it was but I needed a new angle grinder and this 4.5" 10amps fit the bill for $69.

Beats my $31.66. I got one in the box, model rk9003, and the one on display, a model rk9000. So far only difference I see is paint and how the front legs release.

I just got home from trolling around my local Lowe's store. They had 3 of the jawhorses and I wanted 2. They had them for $99 and no luck price matching.

For those of you still looking for the Irwin cutting pliers, I found a store which was out of stock, price was 5.00. I selected parcel shipping, 5.99. I bought two pair, used a 10% off coupon. Total came to 15.49 w/ tax. I fully expected a phone call or an email stating my order was cancelled. I was shocked to see it shipped the next day and arrived three days later. It didn't ship from the store I selected in NC, CT actually. -Will

How did you go through with the order when the item was out of stock? I've never seen that option.
