It's a great price. 37 cents per roll for non-store brand poopie wipers, even less with the discount you mentioned. These are hemroid-approved, won't cause flaring or chafing. Every pucker should be wiped by these soft-as-a-cloud fluffy doodie cleaners. Going to pick up a 24-pack now

I think someone here reviewed that hose reel and said it wasn't very well made. Maybe I'm wrong though

Went to both the Lowe's here. No tool sets to be found sadly. Not that I need any more sockets but still for the price how could you not! I wandered around a bit and didn't really see anything else that was a good price or clearance there. I wish they had a price checker thing like HD where you could sort by clearance.

The included hose is a Kobalt hybrid hose (normally sells for $20). The price on this reel was originally around $70 (I think). It then dropped to $60 rather quickly and is now at $50. The original version came with a generic hose that didn't last long. The new version you linked to hopefully won't have the same problem. Someone commented on this version recently (can't find the post at the moment) that the internals on this newer unit were plastic. If I remember correctly they returned this unit right away so no real reviews on this one yet that test longevity. If you do buy it please post your experience.

I must have a crappy Lowes. There is one table in the back of the tool section where they put opened or damaged items and it usually has all junk, about 10 things, and they are discounted about 15%.

Can you tell me what they had the other days? I got the vise grips and impact screw driver bits on Saturday and Sunday, but missed Monday and end of last week.

From where, New Hampshire? I haven't really seen any smoking deals from Lowes around here since I got my Rockwell Jawhorse for $54 over a month ago, aside from those 2 Irwin deals.

Edit: oh, you mean the "deal of the day"? Ah I forgot to keep up with them. I guess that Speedhex is today's deal.

My local Lowe's is like this. They tend to hoard stuff and offer only a 10% discount on opened and damaged items. The clearance shelf has stuff that hasn't moved in two years. When things are discontinued, though, deals may be found. I bought quite a few things at 70-90% off there...you just have to browse the aisles.

I also make a point to check local stores as I travel, and it has become a hobby of mine to drive an hour or more away on weekends to check stores.

Went on a hunt of my own today not much was a 34 piece combo wrench set for 34.99 from 99.99 but sold out. Porter cable pancake compressor for 99.99 from 169.99 and a kobalt 1/2" drill for 64.99 from 99.99. Didn't pull the trigger on any of them.

Check the Item numbers. I looked at my local store today and they had two 138pc. sets with item numbers that started with 5, the clearance ones start with 3. I'm guessing updated packaging or slight tweak to the new sets.
