Ok so I called customer care. Lady says "Conway cancelled the order because they had it listed for $11 and wouldn't let it go for 50 cents." I said, "It was an online order, I don't get to choose where the order ships from". She replies "Right, but that's the only store that was showing that quantity available, so the order got sent to them".
So I say, "But they're not letting it go for the price I ordered at? How is this my problem?" Then I ask for a supervisor.

Manager tells me "it was a pricing error on Lowes.com". I replied "No it wasn't. The stores around here had it for that price IN THE STORE also."
She replies "Well the pricing error affected some of the stores also. What I can do is offer to replace the order for you and give you a 10% discount for your trouble, but I can't do it for 50 cents each"
I say, "So how much would that cost?" She says "That would bring it to $10.50 each"

I told her to go **** herself.

That's the biggest load of **** I've ever heard.
They truly do have some of the worst customer service of any business I have encountered

Definitely a differentiation between Lowes and HD in my experience. Lowes will call things like that a "pricing error," and just refuse to honor the sale no matter what you do. I had the same thing happen to me on some stuff a few months ago. Got a call back about a "pricing error," on an online order. When I went in, I walked over to the shelf, and they had the same "pricing error" price on the tag, and were sold out. Some employee probably took them all.

At least Home Depot will honor the penny stuff if you get corporate involved. At least in most cases.

I guess the bottom line is, don't waste your time ordering good deals online from Lowes, whether it's for store pickup or for shipping.

Store pickup will just get cancelled and the employee takes it home.

Shipping will just get cancelled and the excuses fly.

Best way to get deals at Lowes is find the price online and go to the store to get it.

I wonder how far a Better Business Bureau complaint would go with these problems. Again, I'm not pissed that I didn't get the stuff, but I am pissed with the lies and horrible customer service.

I ordered a couple of the Kobalt ratchets, sockets, extensions, and drywall knives. I picked up a couple of the items most of the stuff got cancelled. The ratchets only gave the option to ship. I got an email a few days later saying shipping was going to be delayed by one day. They said that if I didn't call by the end of the day to accept the delay my order would be cancelled. I called and said I want the ratchets I bought. Now it's a week later and no updates on shipping.

Lowes is a PITA to deal with. I tried to find a couple of the clearance items that showed in stock. The tool guy told me employees hide the good deals so they can buy them on break. He said that is why they show in stock but can't be found. I knew they did that I just couldn't believe they would openly tell a customer.

Update on the 50 cent drywall/trowel stuff.

So my online order for shipping.. everything got shipped (and got it already) except for the 5 tile nippers, which were also 50 cents each. So I got 10 various trowels for 50 cents each.

Conway, NH marked the nippers as shipped and gave a FedEx tracking number. It was supposed to be delivered yesterday, but tracking number says it hasn't even been picked up yet.
So I call the Conway store, and their Internet Order Fulfillment lady tells me that corporate had them cancel and refund the order because it was a "pricing error". She said corporate customer care was supposed to call me, which they never did.

I swear, Lowe's is ****** horrible about honoring their "pricing errors" which seem to happen often. I've never had problems with Home Depot as far as "pricing errors" (penny deals excluded).

She also went on to say there there is a "terms of use" on the website which explains pricing errors. That's great, but I could have walked in that day and bought them all at the store for 50 cents, so why should this order be any different?

I suppose all of the Kobalt Extreme Access was a "pricing error" also??

Actually that's what they called and told me when I ordered some of the Kobalt socket/wrench stuff that was on sale online, that it was a pricing error and they couldn't honor it. I went to the store anyway, and picked some of it up myself at the "pricing error" price.

To experience true customer bliss just try and call Sears or email them about a problem. Lowes and HD have nothing on bad service compared to them.

On a positive note about Lowes:

I just got a coupon in my email for a free 10 oz bottle of STA-BIL fuel stabilizer, with no purchase requirement.

Check your email? Unfortunately it's a 1 time use, unique code, so I can't share it lol.

I had a good experience w/ Sears customer service.

Bought something in a Sears Outlet store online, got the pickup notice, went to pick it up and they sold it out from underneath me. Bitched to CS and they gave me a $150 gift card.

I've had decent luck ordering online for store pick up. My best deal was the MAx Framing nailer I got for $5. I about peed my pants when I actually picked it up at the store

Lowes. I replied to the email and stated that I hadn't even received the item yet. I got a reply that it was back ordered.

I still have a 75 cent Blue Hawk ratchet pending. Was supposed to ship Monday, got email saying delayed til Tuesday, I replied ok, it still hasn't shipped on Wednesday. About to tell them to just cancel it because I don't really want it anyway

Got these for .37 cents each. Came up in SCO at 2.98 each. Showed the attendant the photo of the price and he honored it without a problem.

I honestly don't believe you, must have been someone new that filled the order. I'm surprised Lowe's hasn't started telling their cashiers to say "Thank you for shopping at Lowe's, now go f*ck yourself"

I had luck with in store pickup a couple months ago when all the drills ended up mispriced. I made sure to order early in the morning and went to the store immediately after....they gladly filled the orders because they had no idea about the mistakes that early in the morning

They do. I heard it was in their employee orientation handbook, right after the chapter titled, "Steal their tires off their truck, while they load lumber".

So my Better Business Bureau complaint is already resolved. They are sending me the 5 tile nippers free of charge.

The phone number for Executive Customer Support is (866) 284-8989
I suggest you all add that to your contact list

Wow. I thought the bbb was always just a joke and a place ignored by everyone. I ignore it. Hm

Good for you. I've had online places and stores with me standing in front of the item marked in error saying I'll buy this for that price listed and both times they give the pricing error excuse.

Executive Support for most companies will go out of their way for the customer, especially when it comes to negative ratings and feedback complaints. It's the lower level support for Lowes that seems to be ***-backwards as far as customer relations.

The BBB is a joke BUT if the right people take it serious, it can work. I'd be more upset if my shop got a bad review on google than the BBB.

I kinda want to read BBB info on Lowes, where did you find their page? All I can find is my local store which is not BBB acredited.

He's asking too much for that as a group. He needs grammar lessons.
