Aw man, I'd love that PC compressor for trim work. Nothing like that at the store I was at yesterday outside of Boston- only the pancake model on sale for $100 that I almost bought but talked myself out of to find a better deal.

I don't even know why that sticker is there at my local Lowes. I've only ever seen a Hitachi and Kobalt twin stack there. I had them look up the item number and they are showing 1, but nowhere to be found. (AKA waiting for some employee to bring it home)

Anyone have any experience with this combo set? Thanks in advance--Stan

Not me personally, but most people give PC a thumbs up. I'd say on par with Hitachi and Ridgid anyway

Hell, they probably even use the same internals as Dewalt (just a wild guess) since they're both owned by Stanley Black & Decker

Sounds about right! Lol. I had the kobalt model, it worked ok for most of one shoe moulding job, but the regulator leaked and it timed out twice (assuming it got too hot?).

Picked up the Dewalt compressor tonight for $234 - Got them to knock off another $50 for some scratches it had, so $184+tax total. Will fire it up and do the break in tomorrow. Replacing my 10yr old craftsman oil-less 25gal unit. No complaints on the craftsman, I've barely used it and has never given me any problems. Thanks for posting the deal!

awesome. make sure you guys read the reviews for that compressor. I guess it's a common problem where some tube leaks, like they didn't put thread-lock or Teflon tape. I guess it's an easy fix, but just beware. I haven't fired mine up yet.

Just found 1 Kobalt flooring cleat nailer and 2 Kobalt pin nailers with shipping option. $25 for the flooring nailer, $5 for the pin nailers.

That's the most it would let me order. We'll see how that works out.

Just fired my compressor. My PC had a leak. Tighten the nut, all is good now. Thanks SPN1025 for the post.

My local lowes has a bunch of display model trimmers/blowers/pressure washers etc on hand-tagged clearance.. If you need any outdoor power equipment, best to stop in and see what's left.

Found a store that showed six combined of the three different nailers and placed several orders for pick-up. Shipping wasn't an option and the store is a ways away, so I wasn't driving over there on a wild goose chase.

Three hours later and no update (either your orders ready or the cancellation call). I call the store and they tell me all orders were cancelled because they couldn't find any of the nailers. I ask for a manager and the lady they give me tells me she's in charge of the front of the store (I find out later that's the head cashier). She repeats the same story, only a little nicer apologizing for no one calling me to say the items had been canceled. She also said the items were called "non-stock" and their counts are usually off on stuff like that. Also the items have been sold out for a couple of weeks.

Get off the phone and call Customer Care. First thing they do after looking up my orders is ask if the store offered to order the items for me since they're still available on the website. Why no, they didn't. He took all of my info and said he would get in contact with the GM of the store.

We'll see what happens.

Good for you. More people need to get on corporate about these cancelled orders. Probably 9 times out of 10, the item is really in stock. Lazy employees and employees taking the items for themselves.

Was going to order 6 pin nailers for 93.27 dollars after the 20 off coupon. It ends up being 15.54 each. Think there is some profit margin in it? Rather have gotten them at 5  gonna pass.

Ebay has some for 49.99 free shipping, minus 13% fees, minus shipping who knows where in the country leaves about 10.00

I can't imagine a big demand for Kobalt brand tool on Ebay when name brand stuff isn't that much more. JMHO

Yea Kneeman I was looking at the sales on eBay. If they were 5 bucks I would but at 10 to 20 bucks profit its not worth the hassle.

No dice on the Liquid Nails. My store showed 69 (hehe) in stock, me nor the manager could find them and she refused to price match the regular non-10% tubes.

^^^ THIS!!!

Like I said, ECS will bend over backwards to help you. All you have to do is let them know that there's a problem and provide appropriate documentation. BTW, glad to see that you got the $200 gift card after our email exchange.

If anyone is having problems with orders getting cancelled for no good reason, do call them. I recently did an experiment to prove that the "web inventory is not real time" excuse and the "are counts are always off by 1" excuse are bogus.

I can place 10 orders for an item at full retail, and when there's only 1 in stock every store will fill it. But if the price is at 15% of retail and there's only 1 in stock, I can place 10 orders at 10 different stores and not one store will fill it -- every time the order gets cancelled.

What's the difference? When all of the stores show 1 non-stock item in inventory, the employees will divert the item to their hands by cancelling the order EVERY TIME that the price is at 15% of the retail price, but won't do that when the item is expensive. Coincidence? I think not.

This kind of problem is not visible to Lowes Corporate, because of the way store employees are playing the game. Lowes Corporate doesn't know that your orders are getting cancelled inappropriately if you don't notify them. They can't do anything to fix these kinds of problems unless they get reports of these types of occurrences. And if they receive reports of these types of occurrences, they WILL contact the store management to investigate them. If you see this happening to you, collect proof and call ECS. Seriously. Lowes Corporate is interested in hearing about these problems and stopping them, but they can't do anything if they don't know about them.

More people need to call them so that they will understand how pervasive of a problem this really is. Then they might have some incentive to change the way the stores handle order cancellation instead of allowing anyone who may have a conflict of interest cancel your order.

Found 1 store near me showing 72 but at .50 and another showing 21 at .13. What the heck would you do with all those tubes? I may use 1 every once in a while....

What stores are you finding in DFW with those quantities? I've searched all over DFW and haven't seen any store with more than 5 at .13.
