I'm late to this thread so don't flame me. I'm showing $129.99 via Lowes app. What is the clearance price supposed to be and how do I manage that?

That's because they sold all they had on clearance and the price jumped back up.

I tried out the Bosch Impact Drill 18V, not the best. My Milwaukee 12V is much better. I am keeping the Bosch as a backup.

I am fully into 12v Bosch stuff, started back when they were first 10.8v impacts came out. I got lots of their batteries and tools. I like their 10.8 or 12v system tools. But no 18v battery ones yet, have 18v nicad Dewalt tools, that I am slowly getting rid of 18v nicad Dewalt because no cheap lithium battery upgrade.
Damn Dewalt screwed all the Dewalt owners, they left all of us hanging.

Seems that Yu have to lock into battery family. ***** to have different battery family tools. I wished they would sell cheap slim battery adapters, so that Yu can use any brand battery on tools.

Yes, there is a thread on that one and Dewalt keeps delaying. And top it off, supposedly yu can only used the lower ah rating batteries, can't use higher like 4ah battery.
Plus not cheap and bulky.

Doesn't dewalt make lithium batteries for the 18v old stuff?

They are shaped a little different but fit. I used them before. I also asked the dewalt rep last week if they still made them and he said yep. Then he tried to give me a free dewalt tool, pliers or wrench, and I said no thanks.

Yes, they do,, but it's $$$. Yu are better off buying the 20v tools with battery.
I am leaning to go with rigid

They have some of the Bosch saws here in stock, but not sure what I'd do with them. Additional cost of the battery/charger and the little need I have for a cordless circular saw kinda defeats buying them.

It's gimmick. Just mentioned it because there was talk of the tool on here a few days ago.

Put two of the Bosch sawzalls and circular saws in my cart but ended up passing. Too much hassle to try to resell without the battery/charger.

On a side note does anyone know who makes the kobalt tools?

I believe the Taiwan stuff is made by JS Products, not sure if they also make the Chinese stuff. I think their ratchets are made by Rotar Group, again not sure if they are doing the Chinese ratchets.

I think your set is made in China(at least that set was at my Lowe's), the 227 piece set is made in Taiwan. The Taiwan sockets have "Taiwan" on the side while the Chinese sockets have no COO marking.
