Got the cancellation phone call. Lady says that every one of these is gone. Funny thing is, that order was placed 2 hours ago, and they still show a combined 59 of those items in stock. Supposed to hear back from management tomorrow.

Can someone explain how I was able to order a nonexistent sealer bottle, and it's now ready for pickup? This is the same bottle, from the same store that cancelled the previous order because "everything was sold out".

Same way I had an order cancelled one weekend and then the exact same order completed the next. Stuff gets lost or misplaced, lazy employees, lazy managers, flaws in the ordering system. Seriously these are massive stores with huge inventories, and lots of employees. Take your pick on the reason. I know the whole employees always hide/steal everything is the popular opinion but lots of time simple mistakes are more likely especially on low number items. I work in a warehouse much smaller than Lowes and even we have inventory issues. Screwed up paperwork and misplaced items are the two biggest reasons for errors. So if it was the last one it could have been misplaced and then found after the order was cancelled.

They're also terrible at telling the employees where management put discounted items. I've found discounted ratchets/sockets in hardware, the employees can only look at the location on their app...which is where it's normally stocked. Even department heads don't seem to know all the time where upper management moved "their" items...it's a very poorly run store and their in-store program is terrible.

That's not to say that there isn't a LOT of shady stuff that goes on in Lowe's, I had friends that worked at Lowe's...pretty much every employee would steal and/or hide items. Not that it's terribly uncommon at larger retail stores for employees to steal, I'm sure it happens all the time at HD also.

Picked up the grout removal tool and a cement board cutting tool for $1.17 each as well as a few (20) light switch covers for .05 each (reg .39). Will use the former in a couple of months and the latter just now to replace a couple of old/cracked ones.

What is your zip? I need a new one and it shows 198 at mine. Not sold in store so possibly getting it shipped?

I found a store with 4 in stock at $99 in my area. My brother-in-law took one since theirs is roughly 30 years old. Use 74133 for the zip. It was at the Bixby, OK store. 271486b8abe796c1602507e717135014.jpg

Couldnt find a garage door opener at Home Depot, so I started checking Lowes. Found this Genie for $99. Its no penny opener, but I really needed one and it is super quiet compared to my old Craftsman chain one!

Just curious - do these Christmas LED lights have a specific "lifespan"? I see other LED's ranging from 5000+ hours and up.

If you click on one of the sku numbers, it will bring up the product page which lists the lifespan. 20,000 hours is typical for LED Christmas lights in terms of what they advertise.

Have you tried to call Lowe's Customer Service? You will pay the shipping, but not sure how much it will cost. If you have a shipping account that would help out.

It's based on weight. You would likely pay around $15-20

Try speaking with a manager, or try calling another store, at least 3 stores have 2 on hand at that price in Texas. Shipping should not be that much, they weigh and measure the opener or just charge you a generic fee for shipping, should be pretty cheap if you are shipping something within the same state.

I ended up getting this. My local one said it had 125 in stock. Area code 34787. No idea if that number is accurate.

I ordered two. One for $48 at Gaffney SC, the other for $79 at Pittsboro NC. A relative will pick up the Pittsboro unit and I will get the Gaffney unit when up that way. I didn't get the rock bottom pricing but ~$130 for two I am pretty happy.

Holy, what were you trying to buy?

lol couple Bosch cordless things, couple 52' extension cords, couple Kobalt pin nailers, couple Dewalt rotary hammers.

All of them showing in stock. One of the Texas stores showed 11 of the extension cords, I ordered 5, cancelled.

I managed to get 1 more extension cord (for my dad) and another Dewalt rotary hammer drill. Everything else was cancelled.

Sent an email to executive support the other day with all of the order details, they forwarded it to the individual store managers, who called me up and gave excuses why they couldn't find it.

For the 3 orders I placed last night, all of which were cancelled, I just got of the phone with customer care. Lady sounded like she was trembling because I tore her a new one about all of this. She offered to send me a 10% coupon, I told her not to waste her time since I can get 10% off anytime I want.

I got a call yesterday from the Executive Support guy who helped me out before who said if I need anything just ask him and he can do some searching before I place the order, but I'd rather not go that route..

if anyone has something they want they can check stores local to me. I'd be willing to pick up and ship for them. (I run a website selling equipment so I ship three to four times a week using fed ex anyways). Might even be able to get decent shipping rates for you. Least I can do to help out people who are helping me find deals.

My zip is 33810

You mean to say ECS didn't fill all your orders once you complained?

I know the feeling. Got several cancellations on certain items I order. I always get the "Online inventory is not accurate". I get on the phone with customer service and they could tell you when was the last time an item was purchased at each store.

Well I just got off the phone with SE Columbia SC where I ordered a Bosch circular saw last night. I didn't tell them I placed an order, but the cs rep says they sold the only one they had this afternoon. Then I tell him that I placed an order last night and it was cancelled.
Think an employee took it????

Then I called customer support and explained it to them. They're gonna have the manager call me. I talked to customer support this morning about the 3 orders I placed last night getting cancelled and they said "sometimes the inventory is off" and that's about it.

Bottom line, do your own investigation, or like the post above me said, find out the last sold date

I really do think Lowes employees keep things for themselves. It is very frustrating sometimes, especially when they cancel the order when units are available.

Recently I purchased a vanity from Lowes online. I drove there (few towns over) and see a different vanity sitting at customer service desk. They were trying to sells me the new model which has composite fake stone ($399 price). I said no no no and walked over to that isle to do my own investigation. I found the vanity I purchased ($70) sitting on the second shelve facing inwards. The one I purchased is the older model but better with real granite top at clearance price. I walked back to customer service and said I found the correct vanity. They asked the vanity guy to bring it down. Once he did, he said "this is a great vanity and it is on clearance". I just smiled and said "awesome". In my head, I was thinking "you @#%@%@# trying to pull a fast one on me".
