you can get banned for that?? lol. I've used TONS and never had a problem
Well thats a bogus reason and they know it. They just didn't like me getting items at 90% clearance and don't want to admit it.

Not that easy they banned my address and all my cards...

I wonder if thats what happened to me? I tried making a new account with a different email address and even used a different card since my old one was stolen. Every time I tried to check out, I would get a 237 error or something like that. Tried calling customer service but they never had any answers. I finally just gave up and said screw lowes. I did use to use those 10 off 50 coupons on every order.

I never understand that. If they didn't want to sell it for 90% off, why did they offer it for sale at that price?

They have the worst it department of any company I've ever seen and they don't know how to fix it.

After buying an old house over 8 months ago, I have placed a ridiculous amount of internet orders using the $10 off of $50 and $20 off of $100 coupons. Most of the time ordered were broken up into multiple orders to use the coupons more effectively. I am even using them on lumber (albeit I have to pull my own straight boards). I have gotten in the habit of placing an internet order while in the store and bringing my own items up to customer service.

I haven't been banned or caught any flack yet. I bet it's coming.

Same for me. I purchased over 4k in appliances when we bought our house and use a 10% coupon each time. Have not gotten banned yet either.

Lowes *****. They permanently banned me from purchasing online because of "using too many coupons" this is not the first time Lowes has screwed me over, but this time I will be taking action against them. They spouted off that I am only allowed to use coupons ever 6 months, however, they send them to me all the time. When I asked for the coupons I used and the coupon policy they could not respond. The real reason is not coupons, it is just the fact that I buy clearance mostly and they will not admit it.

No offense, but what action can you take? I would be willing to bet that they have legal verbiage posted on their actual coupons that protects them.

No they don't. The action I will be taking is to get my name removed from the same list they use for thieves that shoplift.

IIRC to sign up for the coupon on the website you need to put in an address.

If he used the same address more than once and they sent him the coupon anyway, how is that his fault?

Yeah 1 per household per order. I'm not double stacking or using anything outside their coupon guidelines. They tried making up some bs about only using coupons every 6 months so I asked them for their coupon policy and the could not deliver.

I was assuming he uses coupons found online, since they told him he uses too many. I buy a lot at lowes and I'm signed up on their list, but they only send me maybe a couple coupons each year.

Says one per household.

Anyways, not sayin it isn't dumb, because they obvi can't stop the codes being used, but you prob won't be able to do much to fight it

It is very frustrating that these companies have policies on this kind of stuff and then either don't know or don't follow it. Twice I've had a problem with the local Menards.

One time I used a HF 20% off coupon and the manager was like angrily putting it through. I just said "Do you match competitor coupons or not?". "We do" she said angrily. Well then shut up and do your job.

Likewise I returned a Bosch power planer that... May have been fine but I just could not figure out. All I could do is make a mess of shavings and gouge the **** out of the workpiece. Finally I gave up as it was not working out. If it hadn't been so expensive I would have kept it to keep messing with but I couldn't complete the project I bought it for and it was pretty pricey. Took it back to Menards a few days later and said I'd like to return it. The woman was like "You know this is the best one we sell. There's nothing wrong with it everyone loves this one." and again I said "I bought it 3 days ago, I have a receipt, and I would like to return it. Do you take returns or not?" and she started "inspecting it" by means of opening it and angrily tossing it around and like shoving it in the case and trying to shut it on the cord. Then she said "I'm going to take a loss on this, no one is going to buy this one you know." and I said "Do you take returns, or not?". Got my credit and got out of there. I assume she thought I bought it to use and then return to scam them but that, and a few peices of 4" rigid duct are the only items I've ever returned to any Menards, ever. I would have really liked to keep that power plane and figure it out. I still watch for it to show up on sale somewhere at a price that I can play around at.

Ordered 2 things yesterday afternoon nearby for store pickup that were 75% off, got the call last night that they were ready. Got a call from a manager this morning saying he's cancelling my order because the price was wrong. I told him its clearance pricing, not a pricing error, as several stores have it on clearance. He refused to acknowledge that and cancelled my order, total ****. Called executive and explained how much of a **** this guy was and the whole situation, said he'd look into it. Store manager calls me 10 minutes later and gives me this whole song and dance that an employee must have punched the price in wrong because they still have more on order.

He said they were priced $10 below "their cost" but he'd be willing to work with me and sell something else at their cost. I told him I wasn't trying to give him a hard time, but the whole "pricing error" excuse on clearance items was ridiculous. I didn't take him up on his offer.

Hey SPN, just curious - what state was the store in? I've ran into that same situation at store a few months ago. The manager was honestly the rudest retail employee I've ever had to deal with. He was refusing to talk to me on the phone and when he did finally pick up he said "tough ****" and hung up on me.

I don't normally review stores/employees because I've worked retail before and I know how terrible it can be, but to get cursed at and hung up on pushed me past my limit. I submitted a feedback form online with a full explanation of what happened and included all the relevant info (times/dates/names). They emailed me back about 6 hours later and promised a resolution. The next day the district manager called me and offered a really weak explanation (note: not an apology), and asked how he could make it right. I told him I just wanted to come in and get my product but he told me it was already refunded and now they can't locate it. I told him to just forget it and moved on.

Wow, I never had any issues with Lowes coupons I bough a new scratch and dent washer and dryer from Lowes about a month ago. It was a spur of the moment purchase, but I wanted to get it before someone else got it. It's the top of the line Samsung front loader I got them for 800 a piece they never go below 1,200 on sale. Anyways I was able to get a 10% off coupon printed off ebay applied to the purchase because I didn't have one at that time.

I think they got me because I was using the generated ones online where you change the numbers around until it works. When I called customer service they never told me why I couldn't order online but I could just go to the store and place an order if they didn't have it. :headscrat

Anyone else hit up a Lowes yesterday? I expected it to be packed, but aside from the Outdoor/Garden Center, it was pretty quiet...

I did. It was pretty busy.

I was there to pick up an internet order.

They couldn't find it. Eventually someone told me it was leaking so they threw it out.

Somebody must have beat you to it or they realized their error - changes to $429 when you add to cart.

I saw a single one of these in a store a few months ago for about 100, was a special order return. If it was the only one there it might have shown at that price till someone got it then jump back up to regular

Their prices are store specific, but that one looks gone now. It had been there for a couple of weeks so someone probably jumped on it. It could have been an inventory error as well. If someone called the store and they couldn't find it , the store may have just zero'd out the inventory.

The cheapest one now is Norwich, NY $171.60.

Norwich is also showing 1 of the floor cabinets for $87.60

On the downside, Lowe's seems to have gotten much better at setting their clearance items to not allow shipping. (The tall box is also too big to ship.) Previously I got a freestanding cabinet and a RTA wall box for $87 and $54 with free shipping. They arrived in under 2 days and the store inventory never dropped, so I think they actually were shipped from a closer location (local store or regional warehouse).
