Porter Cable Forstner bits marked down pretty significantly, about 1/2 price, at the San Marcos, TX location. They had a pretty good selection, but I didn't need any. Hope this helps someone!

the larger set fell off the website, but I managed to pick one up in store for like half price. I think the smaller set is still on the website

Is there any issues with ordering clearance items for parcel delivery, over and over?

It only allows me to order 5 at a time so I made an order Friday and got confirmation of shipping then ordered 5 more Saturday which I'm still waiting on the shipping confirmation.

I have had them get confused and think that I had mistakenly placed duplicate orders. I had to reach out to cs to confirm that the additional orders were correct

I did one for bird houses couple years back. Was nice to do, but the employees wanted to build them for the kids and not really let u do 2 much with your kid. Over all it was free event and got a bird house out of it so that was nice. Felt a little bit like the employees only were given a certain time period (~30 min) so they tried to knock as much out as quick as possible.

What are they building?
Would have liked to do the last Pinewood Derby (build a small wooden racecar), but the daughter is still a little too young for that.

I did Ironman last year. We do it each time plus the one at home depot

Never seen a employee help build them. Usually one old lady handing out kits and parents helping. Two hour time frame to build use to be Saturday was on a Thursday night last time.

No lowes employee will take a hammer from my kid and build it for them.

took my boy to a monster truck one one time. simple wood thing. he's 3 so it was cool for him, he didn't want to pay attention the entire time. they let him keep the apron and something else (maybe safety glasses?). the employees never got in the way at all when i took him. they do it like once a month, different project every time. if you don't want to go that route you can buy the kits and just do it at home. it was pretty busy when i took him, was a warm day and made it kinda hot sitting shoulder to shoulder with people. overall though it was good i'd have to say considering it's for the kids and it's free. as long as he had fun i had fun watching.

the kit he built was something like this.. you can buy them in store if you don't want to do the workshop at the store.

If You go in store and look there is all kinds of deal for 24 volt kobalt. You can get 24% of one kit when you trade in old tool.Good luck Happy hunting.

I saw that yesterday. I have an old Black & Decker cordless drill I never used but can't think of any of the 24V stuff I'd want.

Got a dewalt orbital/palm sander, no box, no catch bag for $20 this week. After the employee in that area couldn't help me find the stock in the aisle, and realized the bag was missing and Lowes wouldn't be carrying the product any longer, he started to bargain with me. I'd have bought it for $5 off, but in the end, I got $10 off.

I don't do much woodwork, but I was impressed with the fit an finish, as well as operation.

I managed to put it to use today, cleaning up the slats of our porch bench which is in dire need of a refinish. I'll probably just use the deck stain I have left-over to get it redone today, but I could also be talked into a Lowes run tomorrow.

Returns and displays. Plainville, MA.

Prices weren't THAT great. Only thing I wanted wasn't priced and nobody knew how much it should be...

They list NO 24 Volt products for my store. Can I turn the tool in to the store and then order online?
