I've beat the **** out of mine and they've ran side by side with my Milwaukee's trouble free. Obviously Milwaukee is better made, but you can buy a lot of Ryobi for a single Milwaukee.

I would say Bosch is pretty easily the best quality out of them. I switched from Bosch to Milwaukee for the selection of stuff, but all my Bosch felt a bit better made.

To me, platform size is everything... so in the save money category I'd be looking at Ryobi before anything else. The moment you pick a size-limited platform, you find a tool you need that they don't offer.

That's would be worried about Kobalt has lacked consistency in supporting their battery platform. I bet they won't expand the line too much compared to Ryobi or even Ridgid. I would be hard pressed to invest my money into Kobalt for those reason buying a cordless tool is as much about the platform as the tools really.

Yea I can't really compare them other than the few Milwaukee cordless tools I've used at work, but I really like my Bosch. I just wish HD carried it also.

Thought I scored big time discount as I found "hidey hole" that Lowes employee thought he had in corner of lawn/garden. There was a Husqvarna gas blower and a pressure washer (no boxes and no tags). Looked new, no fuel in either, and hadn't been used.

Brought the Husqvarna blower up for price check and cashier says that's $75 and just happened to have empty clearance box right there !! WTF ??? I ask if they'll discount 10% further for missing items, etc. and no go. I left it saying I'd go home and get my 10% coupon in moving packet. I'll check back later but bet it goes back to hidey hole ! ;)

Damned if you do, damned if you don't. Given the recent complaining by others that no one was posting any HD deals, I for one appreciate you listing some new HD deals - albeit on the Lowes thread (not your fault that Ryan closed the HD Thread and ran off for greener pastures). Guess others would rather spend their time complaining about no one posting deals than wading through what you have to offer. Feel free to send me anything you wish to post via PM, as I have been following your lead since I first joined, and have found numerous penny deals by doing so.....(as well as several great Lowes deals as well). Thanks.....

Lowes in Danvers MA was showing a Reliance 10-circuit generator transfer box for $35, normally $400. Walked every aisle, checked every overhead. No luck. I did see a different model Reliance, which rang up $200. They must have confused it when they did inventory.

Yeah I looked for that when I was in that neck of the woods and I find danvers to be pretty bad off when it comes to inventory

Figure I can use them while mowing the grass/weedeating and give gun ear pro a rest.

I see those and ATS from time to time, I think they're typically special order returns specific to the store.

This may be a freak occurrence so YMMV but I bought a special order return Frigidaire Gallery double oven that stated $700 but I negotiated it to $600.........then it rang up using the tag at customer service for $300. So everyone should check those special order return appliances to see if they have an item# on them and verify the price. You might get lucky with a lower price.

Those are the best surprises.

I bought 4 boxes of framing nails, clearance tags showing $13 down from $46+. Got to the register and they rang up at $2.** a piece. Both of the people at the register believed that they had to open the box and count the number of rolls because it was clearly per-roll. They called a manager over who said no, it's per box... looked at me and said those are a great deal, and walked on.

Not a ton of money but a nice score none the less. :)

I've found that most of my Lowe's discount special order returns by at least 75%. Earlier this year I found a GE Profile 1.7-cu ft Over-The-Range Convection Oven Microwave with a MSRP of 1329.00. marked down to 100.00. I thought no way
does a microwave sell 1329.00. Looked brand new in the box, (opened of course) took a chance and bought it. Got it home, looked it up and sure enough, retail was 1329.00.

I've found similar discounts recently. 2 weeks ago I got a returned special order stainless steel kitchen sink with an MSRP of $199 for $10. Cashier couldn't believe the price. Don't know that I really needed it, but I couldn't pass it up at that price.
