Guys, over the last few months, I've been finding myself thinking about a Lista setup over the traditional "tech" tool chest. I've saved a few pics of my favorite setups for reference for my build. A couple of these shots are from members here, and they are a fantastic setups IMO. If the members have a problem with the pics i've used of theirs, shoot me a PM.

Feel free to post your own Lust for Lista pictures!

I've said it before and I'll say it again. Our kitchen is getting a full lista treatment with vinyl wrap. That way she can have any color she wants, including any wood grain, it can be changed in a weekend. To a different color. Oh yeah and concrete countertops.

A comprehensive build thread for this "Dream Kitchen" is a must!!

When will this be done? Please post photos.

Does it have to be just Lista or the likes of Vidmar and Equipto allowed?

(big Equipto fan here myself, but love all 3)

I have looked... check that, drooled over... the pics on UltGar's website http://ultimategarage.com and think they look amazing. That being said, money being no object, I'd probably have three or four Snap On boxes arranged around my dream garage.

I'll play - I've posted these pics around here before, but this site moves pretty fast so things can get buried in a hurry.

Here's what I started with - the previous owners of our house left this work bench setup in the garage. It was clutter city, especially during the process of moving in:

The day my two cabinets arrived...I think they were around 550 lbs a piece:

IMG_0652.jpg

In the process of taking apart the old work bench...they painted around it, so the drywall behind it had a primer coat only:

IMG_0655.jpg

Lucky for me, they left behind the garage wall paint...you can also see some of the inner workings of the Lista cabinets:

Cabinets in place with a butcher block counter top and aluminum pegboard:

IMG_0675.jpg

Uppers to match (I was still waiting on a section of track to ship out to mount the third):

Third cabinet up:

Work bench drilled for a vise:

WorkBench_zpsb96489f8.jpg

And the vise mounted (we'll see how long it stays that color):

I've had this setup for nearly 4 years...the cabinets are far nicer than the tools that occupy their drawers, but they're at least out of sight.

I think I've posted these in some other thread, but here we go again.
"Wall-o-toolbox" These are eye-height and about 10ft long overall.

Your Lista set-up looks great (and nice Ridgid vise).

How do you remove all the drawers from the Lista cabinet? I know that you can override the IDLs by opening drawers simultaneously, but it is difficult to open 10 drawers simultaneously.

SNIP

Now THAT'S what I'm talking about with the left one... Maybe a different order on the deeps to the shallow, but...

Linda, what would that set a person back? Someday I might win the lottery... :p

@LORDDiESEL – I love this thread! Those pictures are great, keep them coming :)

Now THERE is a surprise!

Once you remove the first drawer, you can reach in the back of the cabinet and "pinch" the center rail that locks the drawers. Kinda hard to explain without a picture, but pretty easy to do.

Thanks. I'll try it.

Here is mine. It was a consolation prize for what I should have gotten from an auction. But I am still mad about that, so I will save that story for another day. Suffice to say, the cabinet I did get is really nice! I will be looking for more, but I'm afraid the deal of a lifetime slipped through my fingers already.

And yes, I did stand on the bottom shelf. Wife asked why are you doing that. Geeez, do I even have to answer that??

I sold my Matco triple bay box and am in the process of sorting out everything into the Lista/Vidmar cabinets.

I'm sure you will buy more after not getting the 2 60" cabs.
