M18 top-off 120v fault

I bought the M18 top off about a year ago, primarily to use with my soldering iron. The iron is a Hakko fx600, which I believe has a max wattage of about 65, the top off having 175watt output per the manual.

This worked well for about a year, now the top off seems unresponsive for 120v use. I have 115v AC at the plug, and with the iron half plugged in I also have 115v at each prong. The iron will work on a wall outlet, but doesn't light up at all plugged into the Top Off.

The plug shaped light turns on, and I did plug in a Snapon 14.4 wall charger which lit up, which implies to me some amout of current can flow. I grabbed my Sawzall, I know, and the power supply won't move the blade a millimeter before hitting the overload warning. No idea how many watts a Sawzall wants.

Sounds like my top-off is refusing to move any significant wattage on the 120v side? Warning fault for excessive heat/load doesn't come on connected to the iron. I have used two different xc5.0 batteries with no difference between them.

curious if the fan turns for the inverter. Dead?

At least its easier to warranty than the compressor.

Fan is not working, but I frankly don't recall if it ran 24/7 with load applied or only sometimes.

dnschmidt is probably right, and I'll need to send it out to warranty it. It's fantastic to use a corded soldering iron wherever I want.

175W is about 1.5A (I'm rounding).

What's the tag of the saw say?

I bet it's more like 7+

I could buy that, I just grabbed it as it was the only 120AC thing I had available that wasn't a charger. Didn't prove a lot to me when it tripped the overload.
