My experience with Craigslist is that you have to be ready to move as soon as you see the advertisement. I usually try to get a telephone number, and commit to the purchase over the phone, and then go to pick it up immediately. Only once was the item not as pictured, but I bought it anyway after he knocked off a few dollars. He was asking $40 for an old Snap-On roll box, and took $25 when I pointed out that the weld at the top edge was broke. It doesn't hurt the box, and it worked out to be a good deal. I think the box dates back to the early 1960's. Ball bearing slides are nice, however, I must say that I have never had any problems with the friction slides. I keep them clean and use white lithium grease on them. I rather have my money ******* in tools rather than a box that just holds them. If I found a great deal on one of the larger roll boxes with ball bearing slides, I would have to sell off all my smaller boxes just to make room in the garage for it.
