My mac guy is awesome. He warranties everything on the spot. I guess he keeps his truck very well stocked as I have never had to wait on a warranty. He doesn't bad mouth any other dealer. He doesn't push **** on you that you don't want. He is as professional as they come.
Funny how regional these things are....I LOVE LOVE LOVE my MAC guy. GREAT Guy, I cant and wont say a single bad thing about him.
SnapOn on the other hand...Complete joke in my area. Just last Wednesday I had submit a request to Snappy to have a Franchisee call me to warranty a socket I broke..i know i could have done it all via mail, but I wanted to get on the truck to blow a few extra bucks burning a hole in my pocket....By Friday afternoon I had gotten tired of waiting so I called Snappy cust. service (who was excellent BTW...credit where credit is due) and she looked it up and told me the reason I hadnt heard anything is there used to be 3 dealers in the area, all 3 have been "Termed" is what she told me. So I cant ***** about the SO guy...I dont even have access to a SO truck. Excellent MAC Guy + No SnapOn at all...decision is very simple.
Telling my MAC guy all this, he even went as far as to say "If you dont get your Snappy socket taken care of, bring it to me, i'll warranty it for you"
Just the nature of the beast when each franchise is independently owned & operated. I've often said, any of the brands would be 50x better off making the trucks "Branches" and drivers "Employees" and being able to exert much more control & consistency across the footprint.
