I think I read E53 on the heater element. Thats around ~8amps, insufficient to support the continuous load for a 5hp motor which is probably in the 20-23A range.
My interpretation of the table looks like an E66 or E67 would be a better choice depending on the FLA of your motor.

As said above heater is too small.
Did this starter come with the compressor?

Yes everything came with the compressor. The 5hp motor is a baldor L1430. Where can i find the part i need. Appreciate the help guys.
I guess i shouldve asked did u buy this new or used? Where did u buy it from?
As matt pointed out above u need either an E66 or E67.
The FLA on that motor is 22.7a so u will need an E67.

I,got it used. I will order a e67 and try that. Guys appreciate it very much. Lots of good stuff on garage journal. Happy holidays.

It runs,but after a minute or so stops. Have to hit the reset after it cools down.
Run as in run properly without tripping.

Yes it trips after couple mins of running. I think he gave up and went and bought a new one. I thank you for your help.

Not the first time wrong size heaters were used. Knowledge....it comes in handy sometimes.

So discountfuse.com is backordered for 4-5weeks, anybody know where else i might find one and is the flat looking aluminum strip fuse made by furnas compatible?
