Macker: one thought about leveling your floor is to pour a new 3 inch cement floor on top of the old one that looks like it's only 2 inches to get it level or sloping towards the door. then maybe a little ramp outside the garage for easy access.

Costco's tool boxes they had in the stores around me were pretty decent quality and we never had one that big so good luck with that and hope you like it.

is the roof finished? any pictures?

cheers

Eclectic roller door fitted at last.

Porcelain tiles or pvc tiles?
Are there any threads on internal paint decor--- I like dark colours so it's ptetty chilled when chilling out with a beer haha but worried it will be to dark to work

Macker: they do fill up fast don't they? hopefully you have a plan to fill the gap around the new cool garage door because all kinds of critters and weather can make their way inside your new shop.

i really like that steel table and wondering about the wheels. they look like they can be removed or do they have good stops on them?

keep up the great work and make a little room for that cool car you own to have inside your new garage.

cheers

Hi drivesitfar, I've just tried to hang everyon thing on walls and ceiling so I can level the floor. I'll have a full set of units across the back end and my Whalen 55" chest is due in a couple of weeks :) it will fit under that bench wish will also be lower. I just mocked up some temp leg caps and and wheels for now so I can move it around the shop was I work on the floor. I've got loads of work to do on. The outside facia yet don't worry- down lights too

Macker: that's one way to fix the floor. i can't say i've seen that before other than in some really old (100 year plus) garages. only concern i have is the car's rain water and fluids getting under the wood and possibly rotting it. i'm sure you've thought of that so maybe caulking the edges and gaps before varnishing is part of your plan.

i can tell you it looks AWESOME or maybe in your language if i have this right ****** COOL.

cheers

That is a really neat idea. Where did you get the boards as they don't look like they have the metal reinforcement on the ends which is a PITA to remove in my experience, not difficult but time consuming to remove when you have a large number.

Scaffold boards without the ends guys. I varnished the ba sides to seal them, now the top side. Not sure to Stain them light oak colour before I varnish ?

Macker. Make sure to seal the ends if you havent already. Stain would look good under a clear varnish or i think some varathanes might come with color already added. Good luck

The floor is excellent and presumably did not take too long to install once the boards were prepared.
How have you dealt with the gaps between boards?

Macker: is the yellow car yours? definitely a good reason to own a garage if you have a fun car like that to keep out of the weather.

looks great. just guessing the blue conduit coming under the door is temporary and is it electrical?

Macker: first off your cars look like they were built to have fun in and looks like you are doing just that in the pictures.

did you put the new roof on because you like the look better, you might need a higher ceiling so you can have a small lift, storage or was the flat roof leaking?

it looks great BTW (BY THE WAY).

thanks for keep us updated on your garage and doings.

cheers
