Good job in one hour. It would take me that long to figure out how to make them fold properly like that. I love sawhorses, so useful. I especially like ones that fold and can be stored away.HSpencer

Great to hear from you, I do not have time to think to long I just have to get things done and get back in the house to see my little man... I try not to cut corners but I may not have time to do things super pretty looking, functionality is number one... You will appreciate my hard work on the Buick though, it is going to look awesome after the final coat of paint is added!

It took me some thinking and going back and squinting: is one pair of those hinges on spacer blocks so that second leaf of the table can fold flat?
Do those sawhorses fold? It doesn't look like they do. Have you tried the modern/newfangled/El Cheapo plastic sawhorses? I'm tickled with them so far, but I haven't used them a lot. Mine came with some notches in them that cry out for two 2x2's? x 3's? to hold up a table like yours. And when you're done with them, they fold up flat and take up very little space.
I don't know that you could stand on them...
Also, do you have a Stanley Workmate? Anything that folds up in a shop where space is limited...

Yes I have 2 of those stanley work mates and they are great!
These do not fold up, but they do stack and fit up in the rafters of the shed when not in use... I was planning to copy a nice design I found on line but ended up just whipping up something on the spot and I am happy with them for what they are... I know there are little swivel attachments to build saw horses off of but I like doing stuff myself in my own way. There are much better designs than mine, but mine work well.

We like ********* trucks here! This one makes mine look little!
But i can fit in the car wash and he cannot.
I fixed the truck finally (back ordered parts) after a deer took out the rear fender flare a few months back.
Then i suited up to cut my fiberglass hood to make a huge hole for fresh air to come in from the hood scoop that I just got.
My grandpa died young from building and sanding fiberglass bosts... So i always wear my gear when making fiberglass dust... Just a bit more sanding by hand and its ready for paint:
This will both bring in cold air to the engine bay as well as hide most of the boost piping that was sticking out of the hood (see old pic)
8 days till the car goes for paint!

What illness befell your edit GRANDfather? My dad built some fiberglass boats in the early 70's (three, two of them small) and he died of bone cancer. Of course, he had other risk factors.
And I was there, on my back, in second grade or so, sanding the hull bottom with an electric sander, too.
Oh, and I liked your careful little cuts in the hood with the plumbing barely sticking out. I thought it was subtle. But if it allows cool air in, I'm all for it.

I should clearify that my family thinks that the fiberglass dust inhilation and smoking cigarettes led to the chronic emphysema, and then lung cancer. It is really hard to say what the long term effects of things are but these are all facts about fiberglass:
1. It is great for a strong light weight material to build stuff with.
2. Used in a ventilated area it poses no health issues when laying the glass/building stuff
3. When sanded, cut, etc the dust or fibres are very itchy and fiberglass slivers usually get infected
4. The dust does cause at least short term lung issues when respired
I suite up to keep the dust off me and out of my lungs, as a child I also sanded my hockey sticks, did fiberglass repairs on stuff etc and I remember the slivers, lung issues and coughing so I protect myself now...
How many present day things will be linked to cancer in 20 years?

Another update for the Skylark Project:
Got the hood scoop fit, bolted down, fiberglassed, primed, painted, and emblems installed... The painter will mask off the scoop while he paints the car.
Wire wheeled, primed and painted the frame and underside of the car:

My friend painted it in the washday of his shop for some beer money:
It is painted! The paint is not fully dry but it looks good already!
We did a simulated vinyl roof with rock guard:
Now I need to put the emblems back on, finish painting the underside of the car gloss black (using a brush so there is no chance of overspray on the new paint)...
Then on Sat it goes on the chassis dyno to measure the HP!

As you guys can see the garage was a disaster zone after a month of working hard each night after work to get the car ready for paint... I just wanted to show the space in its worst mess as they are meant to be used. I find it tough to work when it gets that bad though, working to clean as I go but it is not easy when you are focused on a task.
Today I cleaned it all up, organized tools, and got rid if stuff I don't need.
I had to take the Buick's engine apart to replace a head gasket, so I do not have my dyno numbers yet... It is all back together and will be tested on july 28th... Fingers crossed for good numbers and no hurt parts.
Sorry no garage updates but using the garage for these car projects daily!

Do you have weeds in your yard?
I was buying expensive weed killer each month and decided to find a lower cost way to battle them...
I now only use this mixture and it works as well or better than the store bought stuff:
Viniger, salt, dish soap in a spray bottle ...
The soap helps the mix stick to the leaves of the weeds, and the vineger and salt dries out the leaves of the weed.
