They are coming out with a full range of these (up to 10k lumen) in 2020. There’s a video linked earlier in the thread that shows them off at a trade show.

I will say that the Makita DML801 light is great though. I bought one for my father, but I borrow it so much, I'm probably going to buy my own. It's way better than the Milwaukee equivalent (2352-20 "Stick Light"). Even my buddy who's all-in on Milwaukee admits it's a better light.

That’s interesting! I have been pretty happy with HF’s Quantum lights, but I’ve always thought that it would be nice to have one that worked with my battery system.

How does the DML801 compare to the HF folding light bar?

Just picked up a 1/4 brushed impact, 3x 4.0 and a slim battery, 2 chargers, and a case for $30 off marketplace. Promptly gave to my uncle, who runs Makita. Case and 1 charger in brand new shape, impact gently used as well as the remaining batteries. Second charger was a bit rougher but worked fine.

DML809 10,000 lumen LED Worklight. My understanding is that it draws from one battery but switches to the 2nd when needed. Not sure how bright 10,000 is but probably light up your back yard and the neighbors house too

Agree! Not much to improve on that light. A modest brightness and runtime is incredible. Very rugged, especially when folded down and reversed. Its my go to.

Home Depot (both online and in-store) as the 4 amp battery for $59. It wasn't a sale tag, either, which is weird as they proce the 2 amp battery for $79. I will probably pick one up as I have been waiting for their battery prices to drop for some time now.

Picked up the mac 5200 compressor today. Got a chance to get to my local Makita dealer and he had the 5200, 2400, and 700 in stock side by side. Mostly needed a new portable with the guts for an occasional framing job down to blowing up tires and the lines out of my RV. The 700 was nice and compact, but felt it would be overwhelmed by the framer, the 2400 4.2 cfm would have been sufficient, but for $30 more I got the 5200 6.5 cfm with wheels, bigger tank and 3.0 motor.. and it was only a few pounds heavier. Was able to lift it into the truck easily enough, and the folding handles let me leave the tonneau cover on. No bargain, and I could have saved a few dollars online, but like supporting my local store.. very knowledgeable, with in store service. They’re a Pro Dealer with lots of goodies on the shelves... also bought the M18 flashlight DML185, open box for $20.. couldn’t pass it up.

Checked out the XRM08B job site Bt speaker.. looked decent for $100, but want to find some reviews first.

I picked up a MAC700 air compressor off CPO for $160. Unboxed it and ran the break-in procedure, and I'm really impressed. This thing reaches pressure in about a minute.

What’s this? You have to keep your finger on the trigger to keep it inflating, you can’t just set your desired PSI and walk away and have it shut off when it reaches that set PSI.

The writing on the website says it has auto stop at desired pressure, if it is stupid and you have to hold the trigger you can fix that with a bit of bent 1/8" wire.
Does up to 120psi so ought to do common automotive pressures at a decent lick.

I didn't know Makita had a cordless air compressor.

I guess its new, one of Makita's faults is they don't promote a lot of their new products at all. They just appear in the catalogue.

7in grinder Ga7911 picked up from Epsteins over a decade ago. No idea the vintage. Only problem I’ve had is a stripped guard screw that I replaced.

The writing on the website says it has auto stop at desired pressure, if it is stupid and you have to hold the trigger you can fix that with a bit of bent 1/8" wire.
Does up to 120psi so ought to do common automotive pressures at a decent lick.

I watched a review on Instagram, you have to hold the trigger constantly for it to work. I’m sure it works good, but it’s a let down you can’t set it and walk away. Yes, a little Velcro strap easily fixes the issue, but we shouldn’t have to do a work around on a $100 compressor.
I have a cheap little battery powered craftsman unit, that even has the hold function, it just lacks functionality in other ways.
Meanwhile I’m still probably going to order it.....

Maybe it's me getting older, but I think the lights are some of the best cordless tools these days.

10,000 lumens, for that DML809 That's a massive light! 1.5 hours on the 6ah batteries, better have a couple double chargers going just to power it.

I looked it up on Amazon and it's $275 without batteries.

I like the single battery version with 3,000 lumens. The DML801 is a nice light too.

I use my Milwaukee M12 LED lights continously. They have a lantern that is great, I really like the small rocket light they have.

I agree , the Milwaukee lights are good and one of the reasons along with the big hi torque impact that I got into cordless a few years back. Will have to see what the newer Makita lights look like in person and how they compare to Milwaukee and DeWalt

The Makita DML801 is a good household light for projects like under the sink plumbing. I think anyone who owns one likes it

Not yet. Makita typically introduces items at the regular list price with no promotions. I've noticed if it sells well, list price comes down after a year. If it doesn't sell well, they start offering free battery deals. They are offering free batteries with their cordless lawn mowers, but not too many of us are going to shell out $800 for a lawn mower.

It's a nice blower! I use mine year-round. Make sure you get the flat nozzle 197889-6 accessory. For as much as they charge, they should include it.

Hey All,
I took a small leap of faith and grabbed the Makita XWT11SR1 kit. I found a seller on FB that was slightly cheaper than Amazon and took the risk with Paypal. Seller was quick to request I release the $$ before the product arrived but I held out and it arrived via Fedex today. Battery was dead ,while it charged I put a 3.0mh battery in ,a 19mm socket and it was able to spin the lug nuts off my Honda CRV. which was the intended purpose. I was going to wait to see the new midrange impact,but with no exact release date nor pricing I bought this.

Used the inflator for the first time tonight, needed to blow up a soft tire on my garden tractor. Set the pressure and attached it, it showed the tire pressure (5psi) and quickly brought it up to 22 in less than 30 seconds. Need to do some official testing, but did exactly what I wanted....
